We stayed at the hotel so chose this for dinner first night for convenience. Well cooked dishes with quality ingredients, but on the salty side - is this a feature of Huingarian cuisne? Quiet time of year so restaurant not busy. Draft beer good value, prosecco less so. Friendly, polite staff.

We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant! The staff was incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home. The food was simply amazing – every dish was a burst of flavor. The cozy atmosphere added to the charm of the place. My only suggestion would be that the courses followed a bit too quickly, but that didn't overshadow the overall fantastic experience.

Came for coffee and light bite. The Malage coffee was amazing, and the food was even better. We got the Caesar salad with chicken and the butternut squash soup. The salad was delicious, and the chicken on top was freshly cooked and was perfectly seasoned. The soup was also amazing, but the salad and the chicken was stand out. 10/10 I am already dreaming of when I can come back again. Worth mentioning, the patio beautiful in the fall. And the wait staff were kind and helpful. The supervisor was also a delight!

The sad thing about Andrássy Garden restaurant is that it could be so much better if the staff and management actually cared about their customers. My wife and I stopped with our daughter for a relaxing time in the garden of the restaurant on a beautiful spring day. We ordered two lemonade and one beer. After 25 minutes we still had not received our order, so I asked the manager why it was taking 25 minutes for two lemonade and a beer. His response: “It will be ready when it is ready!” That was the point when I told him to forget it and we left. Budapest has made so many improvements since 1989 but sometimes the attitudes of the past show their ugly head every now and then. Some things are simply embedded in the personalities of people who have no business working in the hospitality industry.

We had no other choice than the Andrassy Garden to spend the Xmas eve outside, as passing-by tourists. To be honest, the buffet was just average, a few choices of all dishes and of decent quality. The service was efficient, no real downside except the outrageous price. In Budapest very very few restaurants are open on Xmas eve, so to have a chance to dine out on 24 eve, you just must pay the price! The ratio quality/price is simply too low to give it a higher rating. Besides, the place is open from 19 to 21h - but again no other option

It was the 3rd time we visited this place and it was unfortunate to realize that while the food is still above average the service became really unacceptable. We asked for some green salad as a side to the steak but they served (and charged) a starter including goat cheese. We ordered wine but they served a different one and have not even mentioned it. When i realized it on the receipt they did not even apologize but started to explain that i should be happy because this is a better one. I could not believe my ears. Actually it was a Merlot instead of a Cuvee and was more expensive but it was the arrogance that made us decide never to return here.

We had such a good experience at this place. Our expectations are none. We literally were walking down the street and we just walked in to have a starter and quick drink on our way to the city center.
The service and food was so great that we end up having dinner in there. Having dinner out is much more than eating food. Its the whole experience, the atmosphere, combination of flavours (food and wine), music, etc.
I truly recommend this place.

I went to this place with my boyfriend by chance. The place is very nice and well-kept and the staff are friendly. The food was all good, but in our opinion we spent too much compared to other places we ate at in the city.

Out of all the waiters only one was nice & sweet and taking care of the guests. The others were just standing at the bar with the phones in their hands. Looking very mad when you asked for something. When that lovely waiter wasn’t here. We have waited 20 minutes for a glass of water when we were alone in the restaurant for.
The food was quite good. Not the best one not the worst one.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.
We are young French tourists and here's why we don't recommend this restaurant AT ALL.
As soon as we arrived, the manager didn't direct us to any specific free table. We had to guess which table was free for us to sit at, before the manager came back to clear us away from tables that were reserved, even though he hadn't given us any directions.
Finally seated, the manager handed us over to another waiter, who also didn't seem too happy to serve us.
My friend didn't even have a menu, so we had to share one to decide what we wanted to eat. After waiting a while, we were finally able to send our order... or almost... Our waiter had forgotten to send our order and we waited OVER 40 MINUTES just to receive our cocktails!!! When they realized they'd forgotten to bring our cocktails, it was only a young waitress who came to apologize for the delay...
For the main courses, we had to wait ANOTHER 20 MINUTES on top of the initial waiting time. In short, we waited OVER 1 HOUR for our meal : In all the time we were at this restaurant, the manager NEVER CAME to apologize for the long wait !!
The service being SO BAD, we were reassured to see that the food was actually still good. The cooks seem to be the only ones who know how to do their job here...
At the end of our meal, no one came up to ask us if everything had gone well. When we tried to talk to the manager about it, he IMMEDIATELY turned away to avoid the conversation. We were absolutely against the idea of having to pay 22 800 Ft for such an unpleasant moment, but we still liked the food and we are still respectable people.
