Strangely weird but cool restaurant set in an old lido/swimming pool. Staff, drinks were great, starter was great but the burgers were pretty disappointing with dry patty and hard bun, really not good. Worth a visit for the sheer strangeness, perhaps the other food is...better? Would try again to find out.More

When I found this restaurant in my guide “Marco polo” I was surprise to think to eat in a (old) pool.. and that was very nice!! First of all I loved the meal, very good dishes and the waitress were so kind and gentle. If...I return to Budapest I’ll definitely go there!More

Very casual and affordable food. Very informal dining on an outdoor patio table, but everything was delicious. Yummy poppy seed bread pudding.

Really nice place. Kids and parents are playing in the garden. Very interesting usage of the old swimming pool. Nice view and fresh air. Not much dishes, but awesome cooked. I recommend it.

This restaurant was recommended by some of our friends, and we thought we would give it a try. The online menu also looked reasonable enough. The restaurant is placed in an abandoned pool area adjacent to the famous Gellert bath, which sounds like a fun...idea, However, to be quite honest, it looks like they just removed the water, but kept everything else untouched. Rough and broken tiles, simple garden chairs and benches, some torn sunshades jammed in between two open doored toilet buildings (come on, seriously?) and a bar. Rather untidy and uninwiting. Every guest seemed to be constantly chain-smoking, so the whole area was doused in a strong odour of cigarette smoke. We almost stepped back in disgust, but then we thought we would give it a try and sat down. It was initially not clear who the members of the staff was, since they were dressed in just casual jeans shorts and old t-shirts. Our waitress took our orders, which was the chicken, hamburgers and the salad. The food soon arrived, but the chicken dish was cold, chewy and obviously not prepared on site. It gave the impression that it had been prepared the day before and just warmed a few minutes in a micro before serving. The burger was not particularly appetizing either, and the salad was weird with key ingredients simply missing. We asked if we could get some bread, but we were informed that it is only available for breakfast, For drinks we ordered beer, wine and sparkling water. The waitress forgot the water several times although we kept reminding her. Finally she came with still water in a large regular large drinking glass, not a jug. We ordered the chocolate cake dessert, which looked good, but tasted a bit stale. It might be because throughout the whole evening people around us were constantly smoking like chimneys and after a while everything smelled like ashtrays. When we were finished, we asked for the bill, but it took a couple of complaints until it turned out correct, without any odd additions for things that we had not ordered or received. After paying, the waitress came back and asked if she should bring the bill as they were going to close soon... Jeez. To be quite frank, this was a rather sad experince, and this restaurant is definitely not a place that we will ever visit again.More

Nice idea with the swimming pools, but food was mediocre, prices quite high and the service girl very unfriendly. Furthermore, they close at 22:00.

Got there about 20:00 place was very busy but snagged a table. Service was fast, great selection of beer, wine and cocktails. Good salads and wraps, burgers are so-so. Younger crowd, but lots of large family tables with children, some tables are in old "Jacuzzi...tubs" 4 minutes walk uphill from Gellert hotel, tram 47 or 49. Price reasonable for location.More

High prices, ungraceful service, quality of food was shallow... Please keep off this place, it's not a pleasant restaurant.

I've been here a couple of times and I quite like the place. It used to be the children pools of the neighbouring Gellért spa, so the atmosphere is unique. The food is good, Czech beers on tap. The staff is friendly but the quality...of the service is inconstant. Sometimes it was very good, other times they just forgot about us. Still a good place to chill out. Especially in daytime as they close early at 10PM.More
