A great inexpensive place to stop in for a beer or wine. Chill music, friendly service, awesome! But hurry they are only open until September 29th then they close for the season.

From spring time this the area's best place to have a drink in the middle of Budapest biggest park. They have food also. Balcanic burger is the top favourite, but they have vegetarian food as well. In 2019 due to the renovation of the park...maybe they will open later or move to another place.More

This place is quite amazing. It is exceptionally pleasant to sit out in the centre of City Park although it might lose a little of its charm in December. I was annoyed that this open-plan eating place 'opened' (and started cooking) on the dot of...12. With a substantial queue already forming at this obviously popular venue, it wouldn't have killed them to kick off ten minutes early. Once they had waded through the burger backlog and sent people across the area to get their drinks from the (separate) bar, they maintained steady service. Burger is hardly the word - it is absolutely enormous and comes in the bun love child of pita and ciabatta. Go.More

It is fun in the afternoon with the kids or in the evening with friends, there is often live music and other programs, I've been on movie screenings too for example, and the grilled cheese is the best I've had in Budapest. But the best...thing about it is that it is the middle of a great park.More

While there are many places to enjoy a drink in the Városliget, this place was easily the most popular as it was a relaxed outdoor pub that you could bicycle up to, bring your children or dogs and enjoy some grilled food and wine spritzer...or beer. They also had good music and a stage for live acts. However the Városliget is under a lot of changes and this popular place is a casualty and will likely be turned into some place with false upscale pretenses like they did next door at the lake.More

Went there often for drinks during summer, prices are affordable and its a garden like atmosphere (kertem means garden in hungarian). Once I ordered food. That was a total mess.. took literally hours, because too many people ordered. The hamburger I got (Balkan) was very...greasy and not one of the best I had, but ok, especially because I was starving.More

The beauty of it is that it's in the middle of the park! Bar-wise it's nothing particular, okay prices, nice staff. Ideal for friends to meet or having a break if you're biking in the park. If you're in Varosliget anyways and thirsty stop by...for a beer or a lemonade!More

A nice, relaxed atmosphere, just you, the trees, your beer and your burger! Everything tastes great, fresh from the grill: burgers, sausage or grilled cheese! Have a beer or a cocktail to wash it down!
