We went there today and I had booked in advance. The main room is nice with live music BUT we were seated in a hidden room extension of the open kitchen (basement type). First it was noisy for a tipical business dinner. But the athmosphere of the restaurant brought us immediately. I mean the music. The flow. Very tasteful, delicious food, great cuba libres :) The service was first class, thanks for all!

Thank you to all at this great place! The service was great, the atmosphere was lively, and the food was very tasty. Situated in an old theatre, the building is full of character and makes this an original eating experience.

It was my third time in La bodeguita and the service is quite good, food (tuna salad) and drinks - both alcoholic and soft- are tasty.

The decoration and design of the place is very cool, just like the famous Hemingway-like library with cuban lifestyle pictures on the ceiling. Mainly in wintertime people like to dance here but the space is limited so it is far crowded when it is full. You cannot talk even during your dinner due to the loud music but the live... More

We came for that drink because they make it very well there. The bachata, merengue and salsa music is a nice choice.

Loved the mojitos, food was quite good. This place has a great ambience and is a nice change from the traditional restaurants. The service was really good aswell, had a very attentive polite waitress. I would recommend this restaurant for a nice casual night out.

My daughter and I found this bar by chance, and loved it so much the first night, that we went back again the following night! Fab cocktails and a real latin American vibe. Live music every night and everyone salsa's till they drop.

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
