What a resturant! Recommended by a local tour guide the food was brilliant and the service fantastic!!! Never realised Hungarian wine could taste so nice! The decor was very quirky. The opportunity to buy the local wine we had been drinking to take away really completed the experience. Booking is definitely required would absolutely come again if ever we are... More

Approached this restaurant without a reservation (not advised), on the slim chance we would be accepted! However despite our lack of preparation the lovely waiter did all he could to accommodate us and found us a table for two. We received a lovely glass of homemade champagne and upon sitting down another gentleman took us through the menu, adding a... More

We were surprised not to have a table before 10pm ... But we understood quickly why people queue and book long in advance! Wonderful waiters who made us taste 3 wines so we could choose what we would prefer. Exceptional beef for me and duck for my wife. Beautiful experience for a special occasion for us. Hurry to book before... More

Upon arrival we were greeted with a friendly welcome and a 'present' each..Elderflower Champagne! I wish we could have bought the whole bottle! Once seated, the staff went through the menu with us..made... More

Umm these apps were out of this world: smoked duck, tiny whole fried fish and Hungarian grey beef carpacio. An overall incredible farm to table restaurant that serves traditional food with the sophistication of fine dining through its complex but harmonious flavor combinations. This is beginning to sound like a pretentious yelp review... But seriously if you visit make sure... More

The staff is amazing! very friendly, the food and atmosphere is great, try the pesto pasta, the fries fish and don't forget to try the wine. As for dessert take the carrot cake :) A must place to eat in Budapest - just have a reservation in advance!

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
