We booked this after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor - you need to book. We sent an email in the afternoon for a booking at 6pm and they replied immediately. We got there expecting to be the first ones as they open at 6pm - it was already full when we got there! The food was delicious, really fresh... More

Gorgeous little restaurant, locally sourced produce, great service and food. I was recommended the restaurant by a friend who also loved it. The restaurant is quirky and intimate. I had emailed when booking to say we had one gluten free and one birthday. When our orders were taken I didn't mention this. The bread came along with some home made... More

Booked Zeller in advance as it is very popular and often booked out. Its a basement restaurant and from the moment you enter you are dining at a different level - I don't mean the basement level but the level of dining experience is unique - its a dining experience encompassing quality on sooh many levels that its spectacular. This lovely restaurant is so busy we were delighted to get a booking. The food is amazing with a modern exciting take on Hungarian dishes. Wine tasting and advice was given by the excellent waiter and their enthusiasm for the food is great. Highly recommend this for a dining experience. (Logo and design is lovely too)

Delicious meat and vines as well! To try! You should definitely go there. Food well prepared and presented in a nice way. Service great. Keep in mind the restaurant is not very big, therefore I recommend to book a table. there is also an area where children can play

Absolutely a must to visit! This place was such a little gem in Budapest, offering great service and amazing food. I had the creamy truffle soup for starter, duck breast for main and chocolate mousse for dessert. Great pricing as well! It's essential to book as the place gets filled up as soon as it opens. :)

I had a great meal here when I was in Budapest. The food was an example of Hungarian cuisine but with a modern twist. The grandmas fish was a great starter! Wine selection is also very diverse and there are a lot of good pairings.

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
