The best restaurant in Budapest, I’ve visited for a week. Meal is extremely delicious, personnel is very kind and wine is great, thanks to waitress for advise.

Cosy place (especially downstairs) with really friendly staff. Food was good, also decent choice of local beer and soft drinks.
Some distance outside the City centre, but close to where we were staying at the Danubius Helia hotel, so very convenient. We chose it the first time when we arrived at the hotel after 19:00, so wanted somewhere close to eat. The hotel recommended restaurant...turned out to be closed on Wednesdays, but they recommended Fanyűvő and it was an excellent choice. Good Hungarian food, served almost exclusively to locals, a small choice, mainly meat, although there were fish alternatives, with a number of sharing platters, which were enormous. Wine choice was also small, but all our choices were good. We ate there again, once for dinner, on Saturday, when the restaurant was bursting, and Sunday lunch. Service was a little slow on the Saturday, for obvious reasons, but the staff superb, friendly and helpful, and several spoke excellent English, which, given our complete inability to understand a word of Hungarian, was a bonus. We ate at other restaurants in the area, and whilst they all were OK, Fanyűvő was without doubt at a higher level, at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended and our thanks to Hannah.More
This is without a doubt the best food we ate in Budapest. The butterfish is superb. Everything is fresh and tasty and really good value.
Stopped here for a drink as it was the nearest bar, ended up ordering food after seeing how appetising it looked when brought out for other customers. Excellent food and service overall, Highly recommend.
Walked to this restaurant took around 30 mins from our hotel, hotel parlament, the surrounding area looks a little run down but very safe no problem, the food was excellent and friendly staff, sat downstairs which was nice, good value and worth the walk. Nice...shopping centre you walk pass on way back.More
Today we have chosen this place for the weekly meeting with my friends. They have a good selection of drought beers. The food is awesome, very good price for quality and quantity. Waiters are funny. If you want to eat some fatty food and hang...out with your friends drinking beer this place is highly recommended.More
We were on business trip in Budapest, one our colleague recommend us this restaurant. It looks like local pub with good atmosphere. Food was good and for a very reasonable price. Main courses are around 2500 HUF. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good quick dinner...for us.More
As for everybody a review is something personal. Everybody will and hs a different experience and taste. For food quality, and value for money, this is the best what I have eaten in Budapest. The bean soup is to die for and will recommend to...everybody (although if you like the soup very hot, ask for the cream separate or a little less). I have eaten the Paloc's favorite (chicken/pork with liver, hot apple and cabbage) and the Farmerek Kedvence with grilled vegetables (chicken rolled in bacon). Both dishes very different but both delicious. I was too full for dessert so I opted for the home made Aprpad Csabai (palinka with plum). Just make sure you don't have to drive afterward as it is a potent (but lovely) drink. Overall service is great, willing to explain everything in English, and good value for money.More
Staff was friendly and helpful. They gave quite big portions, prices are average. Meals are tasty, and staff tried to be quick. They have a separate room for events.
Visited this restaurant with my girlfriend and we had a great time. Food was great and for a very reasonable price. Main courses are around 2500 Ft and they are huge. Beer is also only 550ft which is really good for a restaurant! Easily approachable...since it's next to Dózsa György metro station. Recommended!!More
Service is great people are very friendly. I ate "sztrapacska" and the taste was average. I saw big plates of meat that seemed tasty. The restaurant has a terrace but as it is next to a big road it is better to sit down inside...as it is very loud. It is popular so reserve a table before arrival.More
This is a quite cheap restaurant, and the food tastes greit. But it isn't clean at all. It's dusty everywhere, the toilets are filthy. I probably won't come back here. There are lots of good cheap restaurants in Budapest, you can easily find one which...is cleaner and has better food.More
Really nice quality and size of the food, only the service not to friendly but the food compensate everything
We had a beer and dinner with a friend. Good Hungarian food, nice and polite staff. Outdoor tables and indoor tables too. Meat dishes are recommended.
