What a great place. Fresh seafood and great desserts. Casual setting, order at counter and food brought out quickly. Vivian was a great server, unobtrusive, quick to clear and a smile on her face. We ordered Fish and Chips, but traded for boiled potatoes and...panko shrimp topped off with Mozart cakeMore

Went to BigFish two days in a row for lunch. I can say it is a must try place in Budapest. There are many selections of fresh seafood for you to choose. We ordered the grilled octopus which is very tender and tasty. Mussels in...white wine source is a must try. Also had the prawn spaghetti. It is just lovely and Al dente. Service is very good especially the staff called Gabriella. She is very attentive and provided us great service! If you are in Budapest, definitely find the time to try it out.More

Great concept and flawless execution. Come in, choose your fish from the ice bar, they cook it to perfection and bring it to your table. Add some side and a nice Hungarian wine and voila- the perfect meal. Wait staff are super nice and know...their stuff. Nice selection of deserts as well. Highly recommended!!!More

I was there yesterday, and it was almost perfect The food looked good and also tasted good, the staff was very kind, I talked a lot with two waiters a blonde girl and a long haired guy and they were very kind and alwasy smiled,...i really liked them. The only thing i not liked was the ordering system, it's not really my type, but still one of the best places in Budapest. If I have the chance I will surely go back to this place.More

We came here for dinner on our first night in Budapest after seeing good reviews and we were so pleased that we did. Upon arrival, we were quickly shown to a table and given a menu - the rest was down to us. We both...decided on the fish and chips to play it safe and it was delicious. The fish was beautifully fresh and delicate and was the perfect meal. It was served incredibly quickly and there was so much choice on the menu. We wish that we had returned during our trip as it truly was delicious. It was very reasonably priced also and the staff were friendly and attentive.More

Hi just back from this resturant and cannot complain about quality of food but the price is shameful. 150 euro for whats in the picture with a beer, 1 glass of wine and 1 dessert. Be careful what you order.

We ate here 2 nights running during a 3 day trip. Lovely interior, very friendly and accommodating staff and hands down the best fish, chips and tartar sauce I've ever had, including Rick Stein's! Highly recommend.

Nice staff, Fish and prawn very fresh and nicely cooked but the price was crazy! Be careful what you order!! 4 Tiger prawns were off the Scale at 19,323 Huf! around £43 English pound and 2 Pieces of monkfish at 15,142 Huf around £33 english...pound, Everything was charged separately then they added 6,230 service charge! Nice enough food but Far From Michelin Star! Be prepared to pay Extremely High Prices For Fish as it is charged by weight! With basket of sliced bread, sweet potato fries, Standard fries, 2 glasses of house wine, a prawn spaghetti main and small tomato spaghetti side dish it all came to 58,150 Huf, Around £130 English pound ! Sorry, Only 3 stars As I Don't Think it Was Worth The Price We Paid! 🤔😉More

After our first amazing experience at this lovely relaxing restaurant last week, we just had to return two days later! The quality and variety of fish are excellent. We loved the fish curry, calamari, panko prawns and salad. If you like fish, you'll love this...place. We received a very warm welcome and were looked after so well by two charming, friendly and very kind young people - Miatel (I hope I've spelled that correctly) and Danny. We highly recommend this lovely bistro. Thank you all very much.More

Do not come here. We paid 90k for a lobster and shrimp that was shamefully overcooked, inedible to say the least. When we told the waiter he called his manager, who talked to us and offered us a full refund, which we agreed to and...asked for the refund recipet, they said they can only refund by cash, which we agreed to as well. The manager then kept us waiting 10 minutes before she came back and said she will not fully refund us and only gave us 50% back since they claim the lobster was made the right way. They offered to try the lobster and when we offered they do, they didn't and we left, paying 45k without eating anything. We will charge back this transaction with a complaint. Highly suggest to avoid this place as they are not only shamefully disrespecting the animals by overcooking them, but also the customers by lying and basically scamming us of 45k. they ruined my girlfriend's 30th birthday and wasted our time. STAY AWAY!More

Dear Sir, sorry again for your bad experience at our restaurant. As you also confirmed, our manager was trying to solve the issue, but as anyone can see on your uploaded images the lobster was not 'inedible' at all, so a 100% refund would not...More

The food was great. We were four of us and we had a variety of dishes. I had the dover sole. It was great. However, the restaurant was not busy only about 4 tables had guests. The staff stood around talking to each other paying...no attention to the diners. I had to shout to get their attention. Generally their attitude was, that I was a burden interrupting their day. Some training would not go astray.More

Our group went to this restaurant as our last dinner in Budapest, and I don't think we could have had a better experience. The staff walked us through the ordering process and we had great, quick, and attentive service. The food was excellent - salad,...shrimp, fish and chips, pasta - it was all really good. The value was good too - I see others had a concern about this, but we had dinner with wine for around $US 30 per person. All in all, a great time. We leave Budapest with a fun memory. Thank you Bigfish Seafood Bistro!!More

They sell it per 100 gr, they weigh the fish or fish fillet you choose at the counter before cooking, you pay accordingly..A middle size portion would cost 13-17 € . The side dish costs are around 3-6 €.

Sure you can! Just ask the cashiers for an option, like a nice home made pasta with tomatoe souce, or a daily risotto.
