Every time we are staying at the Gellért, at least one night do we end up at this cozy little wine bar - and the platters are amazing! This time we had an Italian and an Hungarian platter. Both superb - but the Hungarian was really something extra! A lot of good local wines as well. Bingo!

Great location, nice view from the terrace to the Danube river and Hotel Gellért.
Nice selection of hungarian wine, I recommend the Haraszty - Sauvognion Blanc. Good selection of bistro food, even for a vegan :D Try the eggplant cream.
Helpful and friendly.
Great place to spend the evening.

I ate deliciously. The baked Camembert on eggplant was hearty, and the shrimp in garlic broth were absolutely to die for. But I had to wait for them for almost an hour - apparently they forgot about my order. And the sparkling wines in the glasses were partially without bubbles (yesterday’s, or what?)

While the food and the wine was great, the staff behaviour was a letdown. They had some awful pothead music running during our stay. After an hour or so I asked our waiter to change it to something cozy. After like 10 minutes one of the staff members changed it back (I assume it was her personal preference) so we just asked for the bill and left.

Cosy wine bar at bottom of gellart hill near the famous gellart hotel/spa. Close to lots of tram stops.
Just had 2 glasses rose as recommended by waiter. Very nice indeed and not overpriced.
We didn’t eat but food others were being served looked good!
Would recommend a stop here.

My husband and I spent a few hours here during our visit to Budapest. We were looking for a spot for a light bite to eat and a drink. My husband had a few beers while I did one of the wine flight tastings and then based on that, had a couple of full glasses. We shared one of the cheese and ham sharing boards which were great and plenty of food. It was an unexpectedly lovely break for a Sunday lunchtime and I would highly recommend.

This is a super little cafe with a lovely menu with some good choices. The food was excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful and sitting outside is a good place for people watching and tram watching. Called in for coffee on the following day....just as helpful .....

Birthday party at the Gallery. Totally exceeded my expectations. Everything ran smoothly, servers were quick and accomodated every wish we had. Food was great and the wines were simply exquisite.
We’ll go back for more!

What was meant to be 1 glass of wine each and a snack turned into a couple of hour break enjoying a 3 glasses of wine, cheese platter and 2 mains.

We held our Christmas party here but will definitely not be going back!! The money we payed in advance was A LOT, however most of the group weren’t able to eat anything, we were told “there wasn’t any food left” although other guests were being served food. The hospitality was terrible, the waiters were rude and aggressive! A couple of colleagues were even ripped of at the end of the night!
I’m sure it’s not easy to hold a party for 50 people, but if they don’t have the capacity then they shouldn’t advertise their bar for such events!
Very disappointed and even angry for a partially ruined evening!

This small lovely and friendly bar is located a few steps away from Gellert Hotel, but luckily it is visited by different customers. Wooden tables welcome you to taste an impressive list of top class Hungarian wines, out of which we tasted an outstanding 2017 Syrah, a 11 years old cuvee white wine (St-Margrit) to be remembered and finally without mentioning a pinot gris. They also offer tasty traditional cold and warm Hungarian snacks and small dish to accompany your wines. The staff was very friendly and helpful the first evening. A bit less professional during our 2 subsequent visit. A recommended place away from the downtown crowd

We really enjoyed our visit to Palak, the service was great as was the wine and the tapas style food options were delicious. We really enjoyed the modern take on Hungarian food that was on offer. We failed to get a table on a Saturday so would suggest booking if you want to go on the weekend, luckily we had no problem getting a table during the week.

This place is amazing with lovely people, excellent food and nice selection of wines. We had a sommelier with us in the group and even she was satisfied with the recommendations. Lovely place with a good location for girls night out.
