I stopped here for a short break whilst making my way through City Park. It is situated in an excellent location with great relaxing views of the park. I ordered an lemonade with elderflower which was excellent; you could tell it was made with local...ingredients. I also had a tasting plate of three traditional Hungarian cakes; they tasted a bit plain but the texture was good. Overall, this was a nice place to stop at and rest the legs for a bit!More

Popped in for lunch before heading to the baths, as it was close by. Lovely little restaurant, nice beers and friendly staff. And the burger needs its own mention… absolutely delicious. We both devoured it!

Lovely lemonades but took over 20 minutes to receive a dessert. Staff were ok, not too many smiles and seemed tired. Nice location in the park and place seemed clean.

There are few good options in the park, whatever your budget: reviews suggest inconsistent service, food quality and high prices. We chose Nyereg largely on location, surroundings and views, and were not disappointed. The two dishes we had were clearly freshly prepared with good quality...ingredients. Service was friendly and timely. Prices, unsurprisingly, a little higher than in some areas of the city, but the lemonade and iced coffee were good on flavour and price. Only criticism is that the food menu is quite limited, which suggests that many customers are tourists and do not return.More

It was a beautiful sunny Monday and we dropped in for a bite to eat and something refreshing to drink. We sat outside in the sun. The place was heaving. Service was good and fast and the food was very good. We had the antipasti...and the salmon. Both very good.More

First they misunderstood which order we took - but they then repaced the order and gave a larger portion (which is awesome)! Anyway, the food was amazing and well worth the moneyMore

Let’s get this out of the way - we had to wait over 45mins for our food to arrive, not pleasant for a family of five, and then the mains came 2 mins after the starter clogging up the table. The reason given was that...three steaks were ordered just before us, which obviously totally broke the kitchen supply chain, however it was so frustrating to see several tables served before us who arrived much later. That said the waiter and waitress looking after us kept things friendly. The food was basic but really good and tasty with decent sized portions - the kid’s chicken nuggets were proper breast in a tasty batter and the chicken with pear and cheese was a great combination. There was a super selection of lemonades which is great on a hot day whilst waiting for food to be delivered.More

Went there with friend without any expectations and were just amazed! Lovely location, best service ever, perfect selection of dishes and friendly pricing we did not expect from such touristic place. Surely will be back.

When I arrived to the cafe with my family two waiters were standing in fornt of the entrance ,we stopped as we expected them to welcome us and show a table. They didn’t do anything until I asked where can we sit as it was...almost full, only few tables behind the ropes seemed to be free and we were not sure if we can sit there. When I asked for the bill I told the waiter that I would like to pay with card but he came without the terminal.. and seemed like it’s a problem for him to switch it from cash to card. So we paid with cash.... A place which is in the City Park ,where an esperesso is above 700 huf should have more professional staff.More

My wife and I stopped in here for lunch after viewing the statues in Heroes' Square on a cold and blustery day. I think we both had the goulash to warm up. I remember that the food was pretty good, although the waiters seemed more...interesting moving tables around than paying attention to us. Might be nice to visit when the patio seating is available.More

We just jumped in for a coffee, the waiter was impolite and arrogant, on top he did show any kindness. He shall not work in a restaurant, and his boss should not have hired him. I strongly recommend not to visit this place in the...Varosliget, but look for another opportunity.More

Visited here with 3 other people last week, food was alright but there was a hair in my food. My friend called the waiter over and he looked at the hair then compared it to mine (it was black and my hair is blonde). He...hesitated and took it away said he was getting me a new one. When the ‘new one’ came out it was the same dish with the same hair in it! We told them again and 3rd time lucky I got a fresh one when everyone else had finished. We was offered a dessert on the house but had to leave so we paid the bill and left. As we got to the thermal spa our waiter had followed us! Saying we had under paid when we knew that even tho we had bad service we had over paid! We was embarrassed so we paid him and he left.More

After wondering around the surrounding areas looking for food, I came across this place as me and my friends were hungry and the outside looked nice. Little did I know how utterly awful the food I ordered was going to be. I'm a picky eater...anyway if I'm honest, but I wouldn't have fed my food to a stray dog. I ordered the chicken steak, which worked out to around £9 when converted, which may not seem like a huge amount. But you couldn't have paid me to eat what was served. When it came, the chicken size wasn't enough to feed a toddler. The chicken also came served on top of what looked like rice pudding with cheese in it and mango sauce. What a weird blend?? The smell was also so disgusting I struggled to keep the plate in front of me. Worst meal I've ever had in my life. Would not recommend.More
