After visiting the website we had been looking forward to trying one of the delicious looking breakfasts that are shown on it. Unfortunately non of them were available, we were given a very limited menu to choose from. We ended up ordering the classic breakfast,...one with sunny side up eggs and the other with scrambled eggs. The bacon in them was undercooked and too salty, the scrambled eggs were also undercooked, it was overpriced and the service was bad (which led me to leaving no tip). The only we enjoyed was orange juice.More

While walking in Budapest you will fin a lot of restaurants but not all of them is recommended. The Keksz is an exception! You can go there and have a nice dinner or lunch and see how the city is moving. The beer of the...house was very delicious so beside the good food you can also try a wide range of drinks there.More

Keksz is one of my favorite places in Budapest! The food is always great, their staff members are kind and it is a great value for money! I am really happy that they started to offer breakfast too, yummi.

Keksz cafe was recommended by our apartment host as a nearby place with Hungarian cuisine. And we loved it. The cafe is very nice and comfortable, with friendly waiters. We took a gulyas and a beef stew with beans and corn. Everything was delicious and...the portions were quite large. The food was accompanied by huge pieces of warm bread and corn chips with some smoked cream. The wine we took was ok, but not brilliant, but what can you expect for around 550 forints for a glass? Some days later we tried gulyas at For sale Pub that is famous for their gulyas. But I liked Keksz gulyas better. Go to Keksz for a lunch and you won’t regret it!More

Came to have lunch here after being recommended this restaurant a few times by people who love this place. I go out for lunch/dinner at least twice a week in almost always a different place. Ofcourse I have my favorites as well, but Keksz won't...be one of them. To avoid a very long review I'll keep it short. In my opinion the food was mediocre.. it tasted alright, but really nothing special. The prices are average and acceptable. The staff was very friendly, but quite slow/unattantive when I visited. The seating is very uncomfortable with hard wooden chairs which all wobble and there is barely any walking room on the terrace. All in all a place that is not worth it for me to visit again. Maybe this place was overhyped to me by the people who recommended it to me, after that it can only disappoint. If people like this place, good for them and I can imagine, but I prefer to spend my money elsewhere where it's better spent.More

We waited for a waiter for quite long, and we couldn't even call one as they are hard to recognize due to the lack of uniform. The menu is a bit limited, but the food was very good.

The place in the city center. It’s a little bit noisy, because of the cars, but it’s nothing.🙂 The food is good: nice variety for vegetarians. Drink are also good, especially lemonades. On the other hand the service is a little bit slow, but I...assume it’s because of the amount of customers. Overall the experience was good.🙂More
