From all the fancy, trendy cafes, we’ve chosen this authentic place to have our breakfasts in. The old fashioned atmosphere, freshly baked, just from the oven, pastries, and a very good coffee made us wanting to walk several minutes every morning to get there for...breakfast. Ladies who are working in Jegbufe are nice and friendly even though are less smiley and they’ve done their best speaking English and understand the customer. Btw the price is also almost old fashioned and far from touristyMore

We had some great cakes here, on Valentine's day. The cakes were both beautifully presented, but most importantly - tasted amazing.

I highly not recommend. The quality of the service was awful, don’t expect to have a smile from the employees and don’t expect them to make an effort to understand/talk with you. The worst part was when the two employees were talking hungarian in front...of me meanwhile I was talking to them. What a disrespect. When you work in a shop located in a European capital, please at least make an effort to communicate with the tourists which are your main customers. To finish the « sajtos » were dry and tasteless.More

A coffee and cake shop close to Parisi Udvar hotel. The cheapest Cappuccino I had in Budapest yet one of the better ones.

this is not the real original old Jégbüfé. The original was in the parisi udvar building. This is just a fake, gloomy and anonymous place without any piece of the past

Had a huge cheese croissant and very good lemon raisin Danish with a cappuccino for less than $5 Canadian! No tea unfortunately, but a nice way to start the day

Unfortunately the quality of both the service and the food has reduced dramatically over the past 10 years. I used to come for the nostalgia, but not anymore. The bathroom is dirty, and on my last visit I found a long hair baked into my...cinnamon swirl. You’d better choose one of the new places in the area.More

We had just arrived on Budapest and whilst walking we saw Jegbufe and decided to have some sweets and coffee. I must say that it was really good and highly recommended.

We came here for a quick breakfast, as the place was just across the small street of our Parisi Udvar hotel. The first thing you notice is that the place mostly serves locals, which is a good indication for us - the place is anything...but fancy. It's been around for almost 70 years - first it was located within the Parisi Udvar center, but after the center was bought and renovated as a luxury hotel, the café moved here, some 10 meters away from its previous location. We had coffees, freshly squeezed orange juice and several pastries. We loved it and returned the next morning for more. Prices are ridiculously low - 2 coffees, 2 orange juices and 2 cakes cost less than 10USD. The bad reviews about this place are absolutely laughable - people entering a simple local shop and expecting the Ritz. Recommended for a quick coffee and cake in the morning.More

Of course it’s a question of taste, but it had only terrible taste. Cake too doughy, fillings watery and bland taste. Couldn’t even make coffee. The only thing nice about the place I’d the way it looked out side, trying to... More
