We revisited KK after a gap of 2 years to be greeted by the same friendly waiter and the same pianist banging out tunes to the neighbourhood. Great place to sit outside on summer evenings with just the odd tram going by. Fairly comprehensive menu with many old favourites and all executed well and with very generous portions. Pork knuckle... More

We were headed to the House of Horrors and looking for a place to eat lunch away from the noise of Andrassy Utica. We weren't sure about this place, but they had more customers than the eatery next to it so stopped in. I had some of the best Russian pelmeni I have eaten. My wife had a glazed chicken... More

Good setting in a small street, quiet and a pianist playing. The food was fantastic, big portion sizes and reasonably priced.

The location was wonderful and service very attentive. The portions were very large. The food was tasty but not what expected. the Caesar salad had a pinkish dressing (similar to a French dressing) The French Onion soup was cream based instead of broth. Both tasted good but not what expected. The goulash was hearty and well seasoned.

I mean... What to say... A couple of truffling hound dogs looking for a nice nibble stumble across this little glory hole.. Cocktails and meat feasts, live music and dessert treats, what a feat to the eyes, ears, mouth and soul. Thank you

Piano bar -- on sidewalk! We enjoyed the late night scene, lots going on. Super kitchen, good drinks.

The service and the food (chicken) were good. Our table and at least half of the other tables were so near the street that the noise of the traffic actually disturbed.

I rarely eat in the same place twice on holiday but location wise we ended up eating here on our first and last days of our weekend in Budapest. Upon arriving we took a stroll to find somewhere to eat, found Komedias Kavehaz and decided to share some of the open sandwiches which were lovely - full of chicken and... More

Family owned traditional café-restaurant in Budapest's theater district. The elegant decoration takes you back to the 1920'-30' Budapest and Paris. Although being a café the menu is quite large. We provide you high quality food from breakfast to late dinner. Taste our Hungarian dishes (the goulash is excellent) or try one of the owners' recipe (matze-ball soup, fried goose legs or the Jewish style eggs). We are open from 8 a.m. to midnight with live music from 7 p.m. When the weather is nice you can sit outside and feel like a real Budapester.
