At Belvarosi Disznotoros you find the perfect combination of the fine food of rural pig slaughters and modern fast food restaurants. The always fresh delicious meals and sausages smuggle a little rural gastronomy into the hustle and bustle of Budapest.

What did you think of Belvarosi Disznotoros - Karolyi Mihaly utca?
Very simple- go to the counter which has lots of different meats, vegetables and other dishes. You tell the lady what you want, and she loads it all onto a plate. Mustard, pickles are added, then you go and sit down at a bench. Traditional...More
The food is good and there is a big selection of cooked food and raw meat cooked to your liking. Also a good selection of salads and pickles. The staff is quite rude, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.
This is the best place to try local food in Budapest, it’s good, it’s homemade, it’s affordable and local. They have more than one location at Budapest. Once I’ve found out about this place I went there every single while I was in Hungary.
We ate here 5 times in 9 days - that's how much we liked it!
Meats are delicious and well-prepared; side dishes are authentic and flavorful; lots of great pickled dishes at the self-serve bar. Prices are low.
Telling sign: it's always packed with locals....More
Some friends and I visited this restaurant after reading some positive reviews on TripAdvisor. The restaurant did not disappoint. I had a pork knuckle dish and my girlfriend had a gnocci. The flavours were unbelievable and the portions very big. It was a cheap meal,...More
Accidental find while walking down the street. There was a long queue. It is cafeteria styled European food. The meat is cooked freshly and we enjoyed the salad’s. It tasted quite food and not heavy on your pocket. We quite enjoyed it!
There was a line out the door when we first walked past this place and most of the people in there seemed to be locals...a good sign! This was fast casual, cafeteria-style, where you selected your items on display in front of you from behind...More
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention
and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
