We were strolling back from parliament and the Danube when hunger set in. We googled a place to eat and up can Hungarikum Bisztro. We were fortunate to get a table as we did not have reservations but they squeezed us in. The food, well let's just say it was Amazing! My wife had the stuffed cabbage, very good and... More

If you would like to dine at this bistro, call ahead of time and make a reservation!!! I did not have a reservation, but was lucky to get a table due to a cancelation, plus the owner felt sorry for me as I was coming from a business meeting and had my computer bag, alone, and soaked due to the... My wife and I and another couple went to dinner at Hungarikum Bistztro at the conclusion of our Viking Danube River Cruise. It was outstanding. We shared the pork knuckle dinner. It was a huge amount of food and it was delicious. After seeing pork knuckle served on several Food Network shows, I wanted to eat some on our trip... More

I came with my wife and as I said, if you read more than 5000 people ranking this place as "very good" and above, you can go wrong. We had a great diner, for the first time we try the Goulash and was great, unfortunately nothing to compare with, still I thought was great. One thing thou, make a reservation... More

Awsome Welcome and personalized approach for every guest. And the food, the food was magnificent. Despite the restaurant profile it has, their desserts are very tasty.

I had only a short amount of time to have lunch before joining a Parliament tour, and the staff were quick, friendly, and the food was delicious. I arrived around 14:00 and did not have to wait for a table. Perhaps it was a good time to avoid a long wait without a reservation. I had the Beef Stew (pictured)... More

We visited this place based on the Tripadvisor reviews that we had read and we were not disappointed. The food was traditional Hungarian food and was excellent. The service could not have been better and we were made to feel very welcome. I don't know if it is a family run restaurant but that is the feel that we got... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
