Went on the personal recommendation of a fellow TA member. Small local shop with good offerings and exceptional service. After a full day of walking and sightseeing I had a gyros and a kebab platter was starving and finished it all. Food was very fresh and well prepared and seasoned perfectly. There are a few tables to sit out front if you want to just take a load off and enjoy. Many university students eating here too so that will give you an idea of the quality and affordability since like college students world wide they know where to seek out good inexpensive food and always tell there friends. TIP: It's location is near the university so do not go by where it is listed on the TA map (well at least at the time I am writing this) Bottom line if your in the area and want some good solid food at a reasonable price this should definitely fit the bill.

In contrast to many other Gyros places in Budapest, this one is listed on TripAdvisor, which is already a good start. Besides that, the owner of this place makes another difference. In major Gyros places, the owners/staff members try to wrap gyros as fast as possible in order to continue watching TV or chit-chatting with other employees. However, the owner of this place selects his customers as a target of his jokes: "Are you going to the left or to the right after, my friend?", "Why don't you take three chicken croquettes instead of just two?". We (a couple) were not curious enough to learn what would happen if we would stay there, so we took everything "to go." The gyros was OK, which means that we didn't have stomach-ache after as it usually happens with other Gyros places. The chicken croquettes were a big surprize for us because they tasted better than gyros. In general, if you have a mood to face some awkward jokes, then this place is the right choice. Otherwise, it is not too different from zillion of the other Gyros places in Budapest nor in medium quality of food, nor in its average taste and nor in its cheap price (~ 2 euros per gyros).
