I have visited with one of my friends because we were always wanted to try this place out. Unfortunately we would not go back ever again. The service was really slow, they did not great us after we sat down to a table on the...patio. The servers were standing next to the door chatting however nobody came to our table. After 15 minutes we have decided to leave however quickly a server showed up and asked why we would leave. Well we told him that nobody came to our table to great us nor asking for our order so we wanted to find a place somewhere else. He said quickly that the patio is full and they are busy (the servers). Even if it is true the server never should tell this to the guest. However we have stayed for one drink. When we received our coctails i have noticed that everybody else have received theirs in a long drink glass but we have received in a Y cup, much smaller. The drink was delicious however a small amount comparing to what other guests received. Unfortunately we will never planning to go back, we were about to celebrate a birthday there in August, we will choose another place for that.More
Happened to find this pub en route to our evening meal. It was done out in a lot of varnished teak and nautical items to give it the feel of being aboard an old ship. As it wasn’t far from our hotel we came here...two days later for more pre-dinner drinks. Friendly crew, too.More
On a pretty cold and miserable day we stumbled across this pub intending just to stay for a drink or two but actually ended up staying a lot longer. We got ourselves one of the booths which was lovely though a little draughty by the...window. Very comfortable (draught aside) and the beers, cocktails and food were of good quality and decenty priced. The food was actually prepared at a restaurant adjacent and brought back into the pub by the staff who were all really nice. It's not a huge place but well worth a visit if you're in the area!More
We were staying near this lovely little pub and visited it twice for a light lunch.
The staff were attentive and the drinks very cheap. My husband had the draft dark beer and I had the house Rose which was very acceptable and stupidly cheap....64p for a small glass did order large glasses
The food came across from the restaurant opposite. We had the Warldoff salad which was very nice.
