We went here based on reviews and were not disappointed. 3 of us dined for dinner - 3 courses each and 2 bottles of wine. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the price was the best value we received in Budapest.

We had a lovely dinner at this restaurant. Good food and very good service. We ordered some minestrone soup, some pasta and a good wine. All fresh, good and at a reasonable price.

The black mussels in garlic and white wine sauce was the best choice for a starter, just as much as the Prussian tenderloin with Gorgonzola and green pepper sauce for a main course (The Gorgonzola sauce was the best I ever had). Our waiter's professional knowledge was exceptional, he was very approachable and pouring of skill. Many thanks to the... More

I am always chuffed to see people loving what they do for a job. Our server surprised us when we asked him to suggest a wine for us with his response: "this is the best part of my job!". We were asked to explain our preference in wine, and then asked to taste two and one was absolutely spot on.... More

My partner and I decided to stop by this place for dinner. It is on a walking street and the outside evening splendor was perfect for our taste. People watching and good food. A nice bottle of Montepuciano, and some Carrpacio and we were set for the night. Later we ordered some pasta with shrimp. It was good. Not the... More

Nice decoration and service. Delicious and fresh made Italian food. Bruschetta, Carpaccio, many pizzas, we go for vegi ones and aubergine + zucchini one was perfect with garlic and spicy olive oil . They made and cook Pizzas in front of you. Fresh salads. tagliatelle with Porcini mushroom was OK. Nice Italian Vines.

Great pasta. Wine was good. Very reasonable price. Not to crowded or hot because we visited in March. Rustic atmosphere and friendly service.

Description
Siculus coquus et Sicula mensa...that is the Sicilian cook and Sicilian table. According to a Roman saying this is the secret to a healthy life. They came, saw and conquered: the Greeks, Carthaginians, Romans, Arabs, Normans, Angevins, Hapsburgs, the Bourbons...Yes, every one of them! All these people, they left something in Sicily - Trinacria, for example, belonging to Greek mythology, the Gorgon in the middle and the three legs as tips to protect the island. The Arabs, skilled breeders of goats and lambs, and with them their milk, processed caciocavallo, provola pecorino. The testimony of the Saracens from the "sweet tooth" in Sicily is a legacy left by the nuns who handed down the memory, and it is thanks to them that today we have the real dough, cassata and Siculus coquus et Sicula mensa "cannoli". With the succession of all these peoples, Sicily today has a very diverse cultural heritage, that leaves a lasting impression for life, the memories of all those travelers who have had the opportunity and the chance to visit it. Between the oleanders and colorful bougainvillea, under the shade of the thick foliage of olive trees, savoring the delicacies of Sicilian cuisine, including fresh fish of the sea, the warm sun that enriches and gives an unmistakable flavor to fruits and vegetables, sipping her wine noblest, is unforgettable. Equally memorable are the inhabitants of this fantastic island, famous for their warm welcome and availability, full of life, with their kindling a sense of humor, with the inimitable "coppola" placed on their heads, with a joyful noise you preach good appetite. This atmosphere we are ready to offer here in Budapest! "Baciamo le mani!"(kind of typical Sicilian regards) Salvo Sgroi and La Coppola Team

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
