Not good, stale prepackaged, cold and dry. Ice cream is horribly sweet. The only thing good is the coffee. Better to get from a street vendor.More

Dear Miray P! Icecream is sweet, and it get's sweeter if you add syrup on top as shown on your picture. If you put ice-cream in kürtőskalács the ice-cream will make the kürtőskalács cold. As we bake kürtőskalács continously we pack them as well for...More

This is a typical Hungarian dish. Very interesting to see how they make it in front of you. So many choices - they roll it in nuts, cinnamon, chocolate,... you can add ice cream in the middle, and have a chocolate or caramel or strawberry...topping. Highly recommendable.More

I popped in to this café for a quick breakfast before the Cityrama Pest walking tour - the meeting point for the tour was right outside the shop. I really enjoyed it and would definitely visit again if I ever return to Budapest. The total...price for one kurtoscalacs and a coffee was 2,000 HUF, which I think is very reasonable (around 5.50 Euro). Their chimney cakes are a bit more expensive than the ones from street vendors, but that is obvious - you can't compare an indoor restaurant with comfortable seats and heating to a cold wooden stall on the side of the road or a train station. You also get a discount if you have the Budapest Card, which unfortunately I forgot about (20% off I think). The location of Molnar's was another big plus. It is in Vaci utica, one of Pest's main shopping streets and roughly halfway between the central market and Széchenyi Square. The road also runs parallel to the Danube, and it is right next to a park which has a tram stop that goes to a lot of other interesting sights on the Pest side of the river such as the already mentioned market, the parliament building, shoes monument, chain bridge, liberty bridge, and Ludwig Museum. Furthermore it is within walking distance to St. Stephen's Basilica and Elizabeth Square. So it is very accessible and easy to fit into an itinerary with other unmissable sights around Pest.More

I got a cake that had probably been sitting around for a while. It wasn't hot or fresh. It wasn't very good. This place feels like a fast food version of a traditional food.
