Just called in for drinks to enjoy sunset views. Located at the Luxury Matild Palace Hotel on the sixth floor. Great views towards Danube and Buda side of Budapest. Staff were great.

Came with friends, all of us were mesmerized by the place and beautiful views. We had some of Brad Pitt and Angeline Jolie's wine from their French vineyard. We had an all-over amazing experience, thank you!

The Matild Palace hotel has a beautiful roof top terrace which is a fabulous place called The Duchess. It is a stunning place to watch a beautiful sunset across this wonderful city and then to watch Budapest take on its glorious night vision. This city...certainly knows how to light its buildings and bridges. The cocktails are wonderful, we tried the Down Under, Less Drama, Duchess and Kanpai, along with some G&T's (these need to served in a bigger bowl glass to allow for more tonic otherwise too strong). Food wise we had the smoked salmon plate with blinis and the beet and goat macrons, followed by chocolate dipped strawberries - compliments to the chef very good. Only downside to this was the initial seating, which was view less and in a covered area, the staff did address this when spoken to, so please if you are not happy speak to the staff let them try and sort your problem out.More

Amazing experience. The view is fabulous, service was fast and helpful. Cocktails were sweet and sour at the same time, I really enjoyed the whole 2 hours.

The view and the bar itself are both beautiful. The drinks are very expensive and all the signature cocktails are extremely sweet. The service is a bit slow. We were there for 3 hours and we were only able to order 2 rounds of drinks.

I recieved the name from friends. Came with a lot of expectations. In the end of the day the coctails are simple. Pleace itself nice.Good service,but I will not come back.

The worst service ever, the staff is so rude and impolite and unprofessional, never go there , they dony speak english, they are rude to foreigners Worst experience ever!!!!

I’m glad I didn’t read the trip advisor reviews before visiting this place, we could have not had a more different experience. We had an amazing time at the duchess. The staff were very attentive and very accommodating offering to make classic cocktails which were...not on the menu. Whilst the drinks were more expensive than the average cocktails in the area, we were happy to pay it for the experience. Would not hesitate to go again next time I’m in Budapest.More

We were booked in the duchess before dinner, wow what a venue. It’s beautifully designed, really stunning with a fantastic bar. The staff are lovely. Really highly recommend a visit

No one was ever so rude to me and my friends like at this place. Very disappointing. We made a reservation an were on time, but the waiters and the manager of this place did not like how we looked. Never coming back here

It was one of the worst experience during entire stay in Budapest for the whole month! We had company of international friends celebrating birthday. We had reservation. We came on time! Manager at the bar denied at the entrance with argument "not casual smart". After...we described to bar manager, that half of our team is dressed in Gucci and Balenciaga access was granted, but after this humiliation no one didn't even managed to apologise. If bar manager can't admit mistakes i doubt u can call it a place with propper services..More

My favourite bar in Budapest! Truly luxurious environment and services but without being pretentious. It's a hidden gem in the heart of the city! Wonderful signature cocktails in reasonable prices! If I ever visit Budapest again it will be my first choice for a meaningful...night. To enter, people need a prior reservation and to follow a certain dress code. Smart casual and more formal attires are strongly recommended.More
