The pub itself has a good feel, the staff are friendly and attentive and the Czech dark beer was fantastic. The food on the other hand was disappointing , the duck was dry and overcooked and the goulash soup was bland and like out of...a can. Maybe chef had a bad day but definitely go for the beerMore

Atmospheric & friendly local pub. Unfortunately too late to savour anything off the menu, but the service & beers on tap were all well enjoyed & very reasonable pricing.

I found this place by accident. I was just staying round the corner. Was craving a pint of Guinness. They had a sign outside. It’s a time travel back to the 70’s type pub. I mean that in a nice way. Plenty wood effect all...over the place. A nice bar. Didn’t try the food, but the menu looks decent.Live music at the weekends. After buying a couple of Guinness they offered me a palinka. All in all a decent find. A nice sized terrace for the summer.More

Nice place in front of the Parliament. Good choice of drinks and local food. I really enjoyed the sztrapacka with bacon and sheep’s chees and wheat beer. A local guitarist plays nice American songs, good atmosphere 👍

Ordered from here via Netpincér. Was a big delusion... Stuffed cabbage was the only good dish from the three. Nizza tuna salad contained 2 ingredients: lettuce and tuna...that cost more than 2000 HUF and called a Nizza tuna salad...grand rip-off!!! Then coleslaw: However it was...a huge portion we couldn’t even eat it because it was made of sauerkraut... Will never order again.More

The Polo Pub is is located in Buda side near the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, two corners from the DANUBE RIVER. Within one week I visited this place twice, first we held a club event there with 50 people and yesterday we had dinner with...friends there. Food excellent, service excellent, staff friendly and speaking languages! Great place, this is why always full with Hungarians living nearby! They have international kitchen but also very good Hungarian Specialities.More

Went in here for a last drink after a lovely day in Budapest. Manager thought we were drunk because we were having a giggle and decided to over charge for our drinks!!! When we questioned this he wasn’t happy , muttered something about he hadn’t...the prices on the computer! Then he threw 5oo hufs on the table - very rude !! He overcharged is by over 1000hufs and he obviously knew this the time ! Not good enough to treat tourists this way -do not go here!! The Budapest welcome had been brilliant up to this point!!!😡More

This is a nice place for a drink and the live music was very enjoyable. The staff were also friendly and attentive. However, the food was very poor, it was not fresh and it was served cold. We sent it back, quick blast in the...microwave and then reserved. On a positive note it was cheap which was just as well. Perhaps they were having a bad day given how positive other reviews are here but certainly this evening’s “food” was outstandingly bad.More
