Restaurant easy to reach by public transport. Nice garden where it is wonderful to enjoy a meal during the warm season. The interior is modern, cosy and tastefully decorated. Very friendly staff. Traditional food, fresh products. Very moderate prices. Be hungry when going to Földes...Jozsi‘s or you won‘t be able to finish your plate.More

We reserved in advance for Sunday lunch. When we arrived the place was quite empty but quickly filled up, so reservation is recommended. We ate trout and pike. Both were prepared well, and served tastefully. I asked for a nos sugar lemonade, I got a...very tasteful, but sweet drink. Sitting on the internal court yard was great, we enjoyed the weather, and the service was good. They have good coffee. All in all my best dining experience in the area. I strongly recommend it, if you want a good meal in a nice and quiet settings.More

We went to the place after recommendation , and have to admit, I am glad we did. The interior perfectly reflects the ambiance of a bar at the countryside, in the past. I loved it. The service staff was a bit inexperienced, or just negligent....However, it was compensated by the food that was surprisingly great. The daily soup was average. But, to move to the main dish, all flavors just matched, the lamb fell off the bone, sauce is so tasteful. We drank the wine of the house, that was not a big hit, although had a character. PS: It worths a visit, to me a return as well.More

After tried hundreds of Hungarian restaurants.. have to say that the food was a big disappointment. The tatar was ok but in my opinion made to fancy rather small portion. The hagymas rosztejos was like a multinational production. A lot of cheap potato....onions where not...similar anything else in the past in hungary ( it seems like dried pre-done onion) which you buy a plastic bag..... And the meat was simply the worst which i had in the past years. Unfortunately i was pretty hungry, however you can see the inside of the meat. It speaks for himself. Is was sooo well done that my door mat is 100x softer.... Top of all above for 3 person paid 70€ which in hungary on not cheap at all..... Looks like that this dish bring a good profit. But i never gone reenter here.... so at the end of the day.....is not a place to recommend....More

A little, hidden and very cozy restaurant with very tasty traditional hungarian dishes. The food tastes realy homemade and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Realy wort to look it up as it is a bit from the city center.

My meat dish was smelling really bad, the manager tried to convince me it's my fault. Later the team made comments on our table.

Several choices even in the daily set menu, which is extremely reasonably priced. Many pensioners come and eat here and use their government vouchers, but they know their food. Pleasant service, good experience. Booking not necessary.

Seated in a rather nicely lit and tree lined courtyard and I have just enjoyed a really first class meal of veal stew and gnocchi. My friend had a fillet of chicken with spinach and cheese with rice and salad both meals were served quite...quickly, for freshly cooked home style food. I must say it really is a breath of fresh air when you come to Budapest and experience old school professional waiters. I don’t know if you do five stars for restaurant but this one truly deserves it! I will be back probably end up being a regular as I’m here for about 40 days out of the next 70, visiting from LondonMore

We didn't know what to expect, but the food was quite nice. The staff was friendly, but the service could have been better. They didn't come outside to check up on us, eventhough we wanted to order new drinks. In the end we didn't order...new drinks or desert. But at least the food was good.More

Traditional budapester small restaurant in a new location. I think, the enteriur of the restaurant is a mistake (inappropiate to the traditional fame), but the food and the service is excellent. And it is not overpriced. Try!

I have reviewed this restaurant a few years ago; since this time the restaurant relocated to a new locations ...not very far ...the new address Becsi ut 31 Located in a renovated building from late 18 early 19 century. Much larger than the old place....I liked so much that returned the second times. Both times the dinner and the service was excellent. If you are visiting Budapest this is a must.More

The restaurant was relocated to the 2. district of Buda, excellent location close to Kolosy square. Good Hungarian kitchen, friendly service but there is room for improvement. We went there with friends on a Thursday evening and there were dishes on the menu which were...not available anymore: the daily dessert for example. The atmosphere is nice especially outside at the back. The home-made lemonade was nicely "wrapped" but unfortunately it was something bottled from Schweppes I guess. Chicken soup was good and a big portion. Goose liver was tasty as well. I would suggest more home-made style otherwise it's a good place and I am going to return for sure to give it another chance. Mondays there are only open til 6 pm! So no dinner possible on that day.More

This is a perfect example of a nice restaurant: the menu is not too long, every dish...is fresh and tasty, the waiters are well informed and have a really nice behavior and they have normal prices. I can recommend it for everyone!More
