My brother recommended Kisharang, having been when he was in Budapest in February. I'm so glad he did. The restaurant is small and cosy, which is definitely part of its charm. It serves Hungarian dishes, which were amazing, and it gave off a sense of eating at home. The waiter was very friendly and helpful, and all of the food... More

Kisharang came highly recommended and located nicely during a stroll through busy Budapest. I feasted on Fried Turkey and Potatoes, while Constant Companion went with Mushroom Goulash and Noodles. Both excellent. The restaurant is cozy tiny and very inexpensive.

Was finding it hard to find a cheap meal. Ran into this place. Nice and cheap with lovely house wine. Would definitely recommend.

Just simple dishes for good prices. Service was quick and friendly. Highly recommended! Don't let the small tables on the sidewalk put you off!

This is the type of restaurant you would want to come in when you go to Budapest. Its' capacity is about 20 guests, so small and packed, with no wi- fi (which is a plus, to be honest). I saw a guy beside us who was drinking a funky soda, so I asked the waitress what it was, this is... More

Situated near the city centre this small restaurant offers traditional Hungarian food at a very reasonable price. The premises are spotlessly clean, the style is wood & gingham, and the staff are polite and efficient. English is spoken fluently. They will happily explain what each dish consists of. There were locals as well as tourists eating here. If you want... More

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
