Disappointed in the meat served with meals, much less than indicated in pictures on the menu. Also found that we’d been charged for items we didn’t order after we left

This is a small restaurant in size, but big on Hungarian dishes and flavors. Waitstaff was extremely friendly and helpful. We are planning on a return visit!
This lovely small traditional Hungarian restaurant was very welcoming, prices were good, portion sizes generous and the service was excellent, so many choices I think a second visit is needed! All the customers were well taken care of whilst we were there.
Everything was delicious! The service was perfect the price was reasonable and the quality of the food was also very good! I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to taste local food and searches for a cozy place .
Food was okay but the service was partly bad. We were served by the female waitress who works on sundays. She was intrusive and weird. After ordering the dishes she asked if we wanted them all at once. I asked if she could recommend a...specific order of my dishes. She then starts guilting me assuming that I wanted my gulasch served before my friend’s first dish was served which I never implied. Then I tell her that that’s not what I meant. She proceeds to roll her eyes and mumble something and all I could make out was “…I don’t know…” while she was shaking her head. We seriously considered leaving the place but didn’t want to be rude by leaving after the chef started cooking the food. Next time she’s all fake smiles with a passive aggressive tone. Unfortunate. The chef and her coworker server were fine.More
If you are/eat in Budapest, this restaurant is a must. The food is excellent, the portions large and the prices very reasonable. The staff is very nice and communicative. You can NOT make reservations, so you may be waiting outside for a while. But it...is worth it. Definitely back on my next visit to this great city.More
I hate leaving a bad review when the service has been good, but sorry to say the food was terrible. Authentic Hungarian possibly, but I suspect traditional Hungarian would have more flavour and be cooked and served with more love. The food was bland and...small portions. If you want restaurant style authentic Hungarian food walk to the next street and try Cafe Kor. Sorry, I do like to support local, but sadly not worth a visit.More
Thank you Eva,you made our visit so social.highly recommended.Gulyas was so gooodd, compliment to chef :)nice retro lemonades, but top one was service.you went beyond, very impressed by the experience.
Excellent comfort food, great service, and economical prices. I had a couple mains, a few glasses of wine a soup and a desert for about 12k HUF. My minced chicken in a pancake smothered in a paprika sauce was a lot like an enchilada.
We had the most amazing time at this restaurant that we came back twice!!! The food was so good, and the service was a pleasure. The waiters Jolt and Tibor made are experience very warm and homie!
If my Grandma was Hungarian, this is what I’d expect on my plate! Traditional, simple, basic homely cooking. Eva the waitress made it special, friendly and attentive. Great comfort food on a cold day at a very reasonable price for the area. Small, cosy, no...reservations.More
The food was really good and the stuff was really friendly. Although the place is quiet small it didn‘t feel packed and we had a really good time.
The food was absolutely delicious!! You can eat authentic hungarian cuisine. The stuff is also very friendly and helpful. Thank you 😄
We've been there two times day by day and this restaurant is totally complete. Really delicious food. Good service. Maybe it's only 6 small tables and bar but there's always full of people.
Traditional Hungarian food, for such a reasonable price! Would recommend the goulash soup and the beef stews. Great location right by St. Stephan’s Basilica
