Popped in for a bottle of fizz after a long day as a tourist around Budapest. Relaxed wine bar with plenty of quality wines. We went for one of their own label the Divino Extra Dry; went down a treat! Bar relaxed although we sat towards the rear of the bar and whilst comfortable the lighting was too low level!... More

Stopped by for a glass and was amazed by the number of wines to choose from. It's a bit of a challenge, if you don't know Hungarian wines and not all staff members speaks fairly good English, so you might not get a good guidance. The place is quite popular and wines are in all price ranges. I do think... More

Nice wine bar with small heated terrace overlooking Basilica. Mixed crowd in chilled atmosphere. Good selection of Hungarian wines at varied prices by glass or bottle. Expect to pay 500 Huf deposit on each glass. Wine list displayed on Blackboard behind the bar with no description of product which can make your purchase hit or miss.

This was our first trip to Budapest; while we found DiVino through a (Tuk Tuk) city tour company, we were very happy with what we found! Lovely, welcoming staff who are both knowledgable and passionate about Hungarian wine - as newcomers to the Hungarian wine scene, we were reliant upon the sommelier/waiter, and we were not disappointed! Wine to suit... More

needless to say, prices at the DiVino are not cheap, given that it is located directly at the Bazilika. You get to enjoy a stunning view though, and wines are absolutely delicious. Not a bargain, but definitely a great experience.

This place was recommended by another restaurant for an after dinner glass of wine - and what a great recommendation. Great service from the friendly waiters and a huge selection of Hungarian wines. I only tried the appetizers and they were great. The atmosphere is really outstanding and there is a big crowd on the weekends. Prices are great, between... More

As a local, I spent an evening here recently to have a drink with some friends. The place is great in terms of the wine offering. Lots of really good local wines to choose from. However, the staff is cold, helpless and some of them even rude. Moreover, they really treat people without any interest: they kind of know that... More

Came here after dinner the first night we were in town. Didn't really have a plan on where we were going and this is pretty centrally located. It was definitely filled by some locals, so that was nice as well. Finding a table/seating can be hard at peak hours, so be prepared to stand at the bar if needed. Didn't... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
