The wine bar was chosen as it was close to our hotel after a long road trip from Greece to Budapest. It is situated near the Chain Bridge at the Buda side and its large windows give the pleasure of dining across the Danube river ,with...an excellent view of the river and Pest.Unfortunately the dishes we selected were far from tasteful and took a very long time to be served despite the fact that there were only two more clients at that time inside the restaurant. There is a very limited choice of dishes ,there is a wider list of wines.Polite waitor ,excellent view but that is not enough!!More

Our nearby hotel recommended we come check this place out and we're so glad we did! Everything was delicious, the staff were friendly and informative, and they had tons of Hungarian wine for us to try. I highly recommend coming here for a meal!

We, ve got Feldobox from our friends and we had a big dissapointment and totally different variety of wines that we have choosen. Of course the "expensive" wines were missing from serving. I don't understand, If they do not like voucher and the guests they...coming with, why they keep it?! Horrible, cold place with slow waiters see us stupid. We will not reccomend this place to anyone and shame on you don't have appriciation to guest coming to your place! AdamMore

Please do not go near this restaurant if you want to feel special or eat decent food. We were recommended this restaurant by the concierge in our hotel as having typical good Hungarian food and an extensive wine list. After talking to the waiter about...recommending us a wine he chose us the second most expensive bottle on the menu which he then just served straight to us without us having tasted it at all or checked the price! We asked him four times afterwards for the wine list so we could actually see the price and were ignored again. The cheese platter which we were sharing came first and I would class this as very average and something that had looked like it been thrown together in two seconds in the kitchen...picture below . The bread was dry and tartness . We both ordered the Hungarian goulash which took ages to come out and when it did, one portion was put down in the middle of the table. When we asked where the other portion was to the waiter he shrugged his shoulders at us took the dish way we can explain we had ordered two goulashes. We then waited another 30 minutes and then my partner called the waiter back over and at which time he said oh would you like them both now?!!!!Does he think we are completely stupid. He then brought out both the goulash dishes which when I took a mouthful of was freezing cold. At this point we have both had enough of this place and sitting in what I can only describe as looks like a very old building in need of repair. We then asked for the bill and ask them to take the goulash off the bill as well as the service charge we then paid the bill left this establishment and I can honestly say this was possibly not only the worst service but the worst food I’ve had whilst being in this beautiful city. I’m so sorry to have to write this review .More

After our Viking tour, my friend and I decided to take a walk and enjoy Budapest on our own. We walked from the Hilton in Pest to a bridge that took us to Buda. We walked along the beautiful water path. I ended a bathroom...which isn't easy to come by in Budapest. we spotted this wine bar in the mid afternoon. only a few tables on the outside. Need brought us there. We were very lucky as the wine was very nice, sitting in 70 degree temps. with a beautiful view of the Danube and talking to strangers as they passed by led to the most enjoyable experience. This place is near a famous bridge which we crossed to return to Pest. Indoor seating is plentiful. Recommend if you go during busy hours, make a reservation.More

What a great recommendation from our hotel! This restaurant is very close to the Chain Bridge on the Buda side. It has a really nice ambiance; quiet, classy and a little formal. It has a huge choice of wine and we opted for a red...wine called Bikaver, which was fantastic. Unfortunately it was the last bottle!! :( For starters we shared a cheese platter (all cheeses made in Hungary), which my husband said was his favourite dish of the whole trip. For mains we had duck with sweet potato purée and pork tenderloin with paprika potatoes. They were both rich and full of flavour, beautifully cooked. Everything we were served was beautifully presented too. Finally, we had great service from our helpful and friendly waiter.More

The hotel recommended this restaurant and it was fabulous. 1). Waiter recommended a wine for me which was delicious and perfect to my taste. (Big wine selection, I definitely needed the guidance!) 2) excellent service 3) we ate inside at a window-side table with great...view of the chain bridge. It was empty inside, but the outdoor tables were full. 4) delicious meal, we had the chicken paprikash (very tender, delicious sauce with the noodles) and pork tenderloin (very tasty and the paprika potatoes were excellent) Very happy customers.More

Found this on Sunday evening after walking along the river on Buda side. It’s just before the Chain bridge. The waiter was excellent and recommended very nice wines for our party of four. The Pike Perch and the pork loin were all well cooked and...presented as well as being very tasty.More

The food was very good - all very local Hungarian specialities. Amazing soups. Good local wine and a very nice location on the Danube made even more special with our friends.
