My partner and I enjoyed a fantastic late lunch here today.
We started the meal by ordering initial drinks, the waiter recommended a local beer for my partner and a cocktail for myself..I can’t tell you what It was called, something with vodka and coconut and it was amazing!
We then ordered two different meats; a filet Mignon (Argentinian black Angus,) and a rib-eye (Omaha prime black Angus.) They were both cooked perfectly medium and absolutely melted in your mouth. The sommelier also recommended a perfect accompanied bottle of red wine to compliment the meal.
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, the service is impeccable and very attentive and for the price you pay it is worth every dollar.
I will certainly been recommending this restaurant to friends and returning myself if I ever get the chance!

We booked a table of 8 and some had been drinking so not the quietest but not being bad mannered, the staff we’re having a mutual laugh and for the calibre of establishment weren’t stuck up.
Everything from the furniture to the cutlery was impeccable and very laid out.
Everyone’s steaks were cooked to perfection and not a complaint on the table, for 8 people is a rarity!!
Everyone’s drinks were attentively replaced and filled and end result for the whole meat was £500 and for good food this was spot on.
After speaking to manager I ended up trying the Louis XIII brandy at £200 and boy oh boy was it worth it. One very happy customer

We are here on my boyfriends Christmas present and took a while to find somewhere to eat that looked simple, delicious and well worth a visit, it’s easy to find the menu is extensive and the side portions were SO reasonable.
A portion of truffle mac and cheese was £3. Steak prices are reasonable for the quality meat. Take a visit the cocktails are so good, only £5-8 per drink and almost relative to the alchemist in London

The menu is far too extensive and overpriced. Fine dining is at its best when a chef offers a short and refined menu. It was unclear what their speciality was. The steak was very nice. But we did have to get a McDonald's afterwards.
The service was mostly good though, with the table set out thoughtfully. There was clear attention to details. There were two courses of small complimentary appetisers, which was a nice touch.

Partner and I wanted the treat of a nice steak dinner with some good wine.
Place looks very stylish upon arrival.
We were tucked away in a small corner not far from a much larger full table (who seemed to be obtaining attentive service). Half of the problem with our experience is that we felt very ignored by the waiting staff who were not attentive at all and was hard to get their attention.
We ordered water and glasses of champagne to have while we perused the menu. Water and champagne took about 15 minutes to arrive. We then had to wait another 10 minutes to order food.
Eventually ordered food and ordered red wine. We were told steaks are cooked and rested for 10 min before they are served. We were also told the wine would be decanted and left to breath for 5-10 minutes.
Waiting on food and wine we had finished our champagne and waters and wanted more but couldn’t get any of the waiting staffs attention.
Our steaks then arrive before our wine and the waiter tried to take our wine glasses away. We then reminded them of our wine which they then poured while our food was on the table getting cold. They didn’t even think to ask would we like something to drink with our meal as at that point all glasses were empty not even a drop of water assuming that we were eating expensive steaks without a drink.
I ordered the ribeye steak. Asked for it to be medium to well as I know ribeyes can be fattier and wanted any fat / sinew to be properly rendered / cooked for taste and flavour. It came rare to medium with half of it being inedible due to un-rendered and uncooked fat / sinew. Mast was also watery and both sauces ordered for our steaks were cold (so much so there was a layer on the top). We
Tried to bring this to the attention of staff but again was ignored so we are as much as we could. No one came over to check if we were enjoying our meal. And these steaks were not cheap.
Eventually when a waiter came over we asked to speak to the manager. He came over. We explained we felt ignored and problems with our food. He apologised and offered us a dessert as compensation but we declined because by that time we just wanted to leave. He therefore offered to discount our meal and when he came over with the bill he have us a glass of champagne each which was a nice gesture. However, Disappointing that discount he offered was only 10% off our bill but still tried to charge us the 13% service charge. Unbelievable.
Overall, an expensive and very disappointing experience

We booked for a late dinner, we were told that due to one of the party wanting their steak well done it would be an hour wait which we said was fine. Ordered food at 21.30 . Had a couple of drinks cocktails very nice waiters/waitresses very friendly and polite restaurant looks amazing. After 90 mins we asked them to follow up on our food waiter disappeared and came back 15 mins later to say it would be 5 mins. Waited just over 1h45 for our food which we thought was a bit too long of a wait eating at 23.15 was not the plan. Food when it did come was lovely and cooked just as requested. Waiter did offer us a dessert on the house to which we declined as so late so did then take 10% off the bill which was appreciated. For the price you pay you would expect them to have enough staff to ensure they can deal with a full restaurant in a timely manner. I also didn't like that the service charge is used to pay the staffs wages rather than as a tip.

This place has exceeded our expectations. I knew that it had a great interior and that they served high quality of steaks, but in addition, the kindness of the staff, the starters and the desserts and the wines added a lot more to it. We cannot complain on anything. We had a perfect dinner here. 10 out of 10 (well, 5 out of 5) :)

Based on the website and reviews, we decided to have a good steak dinner in a good atmosphere. As we are pretty experienced in preparing and eating food in our home and after 45 years of eating out I have to say I never experienced anything like the food we were served ..
We started of with a dry vodka martini, followed by French onion soup and a Caesar salad. We asked for a porterhouse and it was out of stock so we ordered 2 T-bone steaks accompanied by mash with truffles and onion rings . And 2 sauces
The martini was ill prepared , the Caesar salad was made with what I believe a store bought finished dressing. Lacking anything like a real dressing . When I asked about the onion rings to the waiter he admitted the rings were delivered frozen and fried on premises . Hint Macerated onions .. finally I have to mention the T-bone steaks came without the tenderloin on both of our steaks . To me it was clear it was cut out probably being used for tenderloin.
Did I mention I am guessing the sauces were also store bought
All in all my conclusion . No passion for ingredients, no love in what they do except how ro make money. We dropped over 300 euros ..

Four of us visited on Friday night, we hadn’t made a reservation but were made to feel really welcome and found a lovely table. The restaurant was beautiful and lots of staff on hand.
We all enjoyed starters our favourites being the Foie Gras and Lobster bisque.
We all choose a fillet steak with a side and sauce they were exceptional, especially loved the Mac cheese & Creamed Spinach.
Our waiter was great and did lots of theatre at the table, making steak tartare and various other Interesting smoked dishes and cocktails! It seemed that he had his work cut out as other guests nearby seemed quite rude to him but he just carried on ignoring the rudeness!
Had some wonderful deserts too, the best being the cheesecake with basil sauce …… it sounds weird but was so delicious.
We had a fabulous evening not sure where the previous reviewer ate? Admittedly it was a little pricy and the service charge is a bit hefty but we all thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
Perfect location right in the centre, would definitely recommend.

Very surprised, but true. It’s our anniversry. We celebrate love and here we go. A real tourist trap. They proposed a good expensive wine with the steak (as usual in a good place) but in the end charged us 2000 eur per bottle of wine without a blink of an eye. On top of everything else. Sooo… no information prior, very sweet talking and here we go.
The service was a typical ‘let’s get them pay us… the more the better’. BEWARE!!! And ask everything twice. They will smile sweetly…
After a long conversation and email exchange on this situation the manager arrogantly turned down every attempt on resolving this issue. No kindess, no service, just a rip off. Seriously disapponted.

Really don't understand the hype with this restaurant, went to Prime Steak & Wine night before, which was much much better and similar prices.
The meat was average at best, too much pepper, uncomfortable to eat. Service was ok. Best thing about the place was the music actually.

Nice elegant decor. Service was extremely slow to the point my husband had to get up & go to the bar after waiting 15 minutes at the table to order a bottle of wine. When our food arrived my husband’s steak was overcooked & very chewy when we finally managed to grab someone to say he was unable to eat it I was half way through my small filet so he told them to remove from the bill as I would be finished before a new one arrived. I wasn’t drinking wine & again had to look for staff to order a drink. We was then told our time at the table was up even though the people at the table next to us who arrived sometime before us were just sitting enjoying drinks at the table.
Wasn’t a cheap menu & they charge service within the bill so was extremely disappointed. So from my experience I wouldn’t recommend.

Fancy and expensive place in center. The starter is prepared with a little show which is fun and tartar was quite ok. Selection of steak fillets was good and done as ordered, the dessert is not very good. Good selection of wines. But overall very expensive.

My partner and I had an enjoyable meal at Prime. The food was delicious and there were plenty of options, the drinks though were really cool and super cheap for what you get. We were there for the valentines weekend and they had decorated our table specially with rose petals, which I thought was a very sweet touch. If I was to be extra harsh I would say that some of the staff were not the most smiley/welcoming - I do understand work in hospitality is stressful but I do think it would take this place to the next level if you're staff were just a bit happier! I would 100% return to this place and recommend to anyone coming to Budapest! Its not to be missed if you enjoy a nice steak, cocktails and wine!

Possibly the best steak one can have in their lives
Everything was made perfectly
The steak felt like butter and their seasonal cocktails were spectacular. I would 100% recommend the mulled wine as it in my opinion the best you can have in Budapest.
Prices are a bit steep (even more than what you'd expect from a steak-house) but food wise they fully deliver. Keep in mind that the bill contains an additional 15% tip which is there by default.
I would steer away from the burata salad, but if you ever want to have multiple types of beef all cooked to perfection, do try their tasting platter.
Staff are very helpful and can tell you which type of cocktail/drink you should go for with the type of beef you will order
Now for the negative(s): we had to wait almost 90mins between our starters and drinks until the main courses arrived. And it was the same for every table in our vicinity. In fact the table right next to us straight up left because it took way too long until their food was served. Additionally the steak while perfectly cooked it was a bit cold, even if it didn't impact the overall taste (which was amazing).
I would recommend this place if you don't care about time/money and just want the best steak experience you can have in Budapest.
