Let's say that it must not have been a good day. It took 1h40 to get our dishes, and there was no more rice (do you believe it? In an Indian restaurant?) But aside of that, the poor lonely waiter did his best and the food was amazing. For 2 people we paid around 4000ft, the prices are quite reasonable.

Went for lunch and was told only limited south indian food available. No dosa, vada etc. Whatever was available was tasty. Maybe it was communication gap, but I came to understand the south indian chef may not be associated with the restaurant anymore?

Among the long row of restaurants in Raday utca it is easy to miss one. But not this one, which is partly a bistro-styled restaurant offering South Indian and Hungarian dishes, partly a contemporary art gallery. Family run, cosy, with good food. Not a fast food restaurant, although service could be slightly quicker. But where else can you get a... More

This small restaurant, with an attached art gallery that holds many interesting exhibitions, has been working for many years, but, since the owners have a longstanding relationship with India, it was recently converted into a South Indian restaurant with a chef from Chennai. It's probably the only Indian restaurant in Budapest that serves you something different from the internationalized "Indian"... More

When we sat down we waited 20 minutes for service. Then waited another 25 for a glass of juice (the cheap kind from a supermarket) and 2 coffees (only 1 came) plus a bland tasting omelette with some dirty mint leaves that arrived 10 minutes later and was left to get cold for another 3 minutes before the knife and... As mentioned in another recent review, this place now is Hungarian-south Indian, so a friend and I decided to go for the lunch menu to try some dosas. When we sat down, it took at least 10 minutes for a waiter to pay attention to us and come to our table. He told us the daily menu had run out,... More

What the reviewers before me wrote was all true, it was a fine, Hungarian-Romanian restaurant with a mini art gallery, until spring 2015, when the place became a Hungarian-Indian restaurant! I've bee there 3 times since, and because all 3 times I had the same experience, I thought I'd share. First of all, all 3 times I went, there were... More

I came to that place because I learned that there is a bistro with Romanian food in Budapest. Actually, when I came, I was really surprised. I have never been in a bistro with such an atmosphere. It is more a place where old friends meet. The bistro is owned by a family, and you get a feeling that you... More

Super recently opened family run restaurant (opened May 2011) with a wide menu including vegeration (which is what we wanted). Very happy to suggest suitable courses - we had pasta and risotto dishes. Very reasonably priced - and very friendly family team. Good blues/reggae music too! Used by locals which is always a good sign. Located far up and beyond the noisy and glitzsy eating places in this well known "eating" street (on 47/49 tram routes one stop from the Market). Keep walking - well worth finding it!!
