The MADHOUSE was an excellent experience! The beer was very good, the service was fantastic, and the food was amazing. As I was a bit indecisive on what to order, Hana came to my rescue. She suggested some of the best dishes on the menu...directly from the tradition, and I must say, they were delish! The pub has a great atmosphere, with friendly staff and a welcoming vibe. It's an excellent spot to hang out with friends and family and they really care about what they do and how they do it. If you're ever in the area and looking for a place to eat or drink, this is the one! And if you need guidance, ask for Hana! She can steer you in the right direction regarding what dish to order. Thank you, MADHOUSE . I can't wait to come back!More

Really loved this bar. The beers were excellent, even if some of them were a bit off the wall flavour wise. The food was brilliant and again quite original. Good service. Great place for lunch...probably more of a drinker's place in the evening

A nice enough place in the heart of the city. Great service. Decent beer selection. The only negative thing is their pricing. It’s outrageous. Just to illustrate, 100ml of the Reketeye Heavy Daddy is 1390 here, but last night I paid 1125 for 200ml in...a different bar. It’s a fine place and if you want to pay the exorbitant prices then drink here, otherwise take a walk down the road to one of the many other more reasonably priced bars close by.More

This was a really great place to stop for a quick dinner and some excellent beer! WE walked over from our hotel and were quickly seated on the delightful patio (without a reservation, but after 7 pm on a Sunday). Our server, Szonya, was EXTREMELY...helpful and friendly - we don’t speak Hungarian and she helped us interpret the menu. While it was translated in English, not all aspects come through and Szonya really helped us with our dinner selections. And…the beer was GREAT! Definitely check it out!More

Thought we'd try this on our first night and because of good reviews. The waiter was very friendly and helpful but the food wasn't up to much. No where is cheap to eat today but you want to feel that at lest you get value...for what you pay and it just wasn't worth it. Most restaurants levy a 12% service charge on the bill which I find offensive and wonder if this how they pay their staff wages....a rip off.. When you pay this charge...DON'T TIP. Oh and the music in the background was bad...anything upbeat to create a good atmosphere...no. I was trying to work out what it was and it sounded like French Rap with a repetitive beat. But the beer was OK.More

Nice place with good atmosphere, but we waited a really long time for what was very over-priced, pretentious, bland food. Would not recommend.
