In a wonderful city, this is by far the most awful experience I have had in terms of dining! The waiter, as causal as he gets, offered a table. The next guests, a family of four, arrived 10 minutes after. The same server offered them...to take their jackets, but did not offer the same to me. I overheard that the guy in that group ordered the same food as mine, the server asked him which dip he wanted to have with his food (fried chicken legs). But he simply did not ask me that. Then he served their food first!!! Although they arrived after me. When he brought my food, I asked why there is no dip for the chicken legs, he simply said “it is up to me”!!! I was just stunned why there is such a double standard in terms of service and attention to guests. I asked to speak to the manager, he was even ruder, and blamed it on me. I could tell he was understanding English properly, although he said he did. Instead of trying to calm the situation, he just simply to blame it on me. When I asked to pay for the salad I had, he said I did not have to. This was by far the most awful experience I have had at a restaurant. Aside from being casual and aloof, they were just simply indirectly rude. I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE to anyone. Save your time, mood, and money and enjoy your time in Budapest somewhere else.More

Lovely cosy restaurant in the heart of the Castle district, down a quiet road, 3 mins walk from the Hilton and Fishermans Bastion. Warm welcome, friendly and helpful waiter, delicious food.

We visited on November 21st, while a group of 4 of us were there to celebrate my sisters 40th. We arrived about 3pm - it is close to Hilton where we were staying. I ordered the roast duck with braised red cabbage and potato dumplings....OH. MY. GOD. I will be dreaming of this food for the rest of my days. Absolutely delicious and the most divine thing I have ever eaten in my life. Service was good, ambience nice and cosy. Food took about 45 mins to arrive to table but I put that down to the duck taking time to cook as it was in the bone. Highly recommend.More

...Good reviews - that's why we went. BUT we left without ordering. So busy and the staff stressed and arrogant. So little space. The waiter sent me with a sign showing me to fexk off and if possible quickly. They were treating our child that...he was in their way and we should remove him asap. Glad we left as we found a nice, calm restaurant with lots of space, lovely food and kind people, not too far from there. Zero stars from us for the feeling they gave us. Happened never before, and I've travelled a lot.More

Popping in for a quick dinner, the restaurant was very quiet but the staff were friendly and welcoming. We opted for the chicken kiev and the wiener schnitzel, both had really crunchy coatings and the portion sizes were filling. Washed down with Hungarian wine, the...food is solid and the costs are reasonable.More

We had lunch and dinner here. It seemed like an ordinary bistro on the outside, but it was a cut above, offering some lighter dishes than heavy Hungarian fare. We had GREAT imaginative salads for lunch and I had a Jerusalem artichoke soup that made...my day. Good bread. Good cappuccinos afterwards. Dinner was good too…I had a crumb crusted trout with fries and a very nice little salad. My husband had a stuffed pepper that was good but not stellar. The house wines by the glass were nice. Beer very nice.More
