This was a great experience, considering that they cater to large groups the food was fine but what was amazing is the view from the restaurants windows.

We went to this restaurant for one of our wedding anniversaries. First, the staff is extremely friendly and competent. Secondly, the location is magical and you can see the whole of the Pest side from the window. Thirdly, the wine list is very good value for money, and note that Hungarian red wines should not be discarded (we live in... More

I didn't actually even have a meal here. I stopped here with my friends after a long night and we simply wanted dessert and coffee. Everywhere you look is elegance. It's a striking, remarkable, beautifully crafted building. It's a must see just for the design, everywhere is pure luxury!

Atmospheric room with a vaulted ceiling, we reserved too late to get a window view, so book early. The service and food were first class, expensive but the quality warranted this. Tried a local wine recommended by the waiter and it was really excellent.

Absolutely loved my dinner date here, when I visited with my other half on our holiday in Budapest. The venue is stunning, high vaulted ceilings and an unbelievable view of you're lucky enough to be sat by a window. The food was quite classic, nothing experimentally or new, but I liked this about it... and, it was all cooked to... More

Beautiful interior & what a view. The food was delicious but small "frou frou" portions. Good service. Would make a very romantic place for a special dinner.

We asked the Hilton to make us lunch reservations for 4 indoors (weather had turned cool and damp). They said they had one table available, so we rushed over. When we went in, they said they had't heard of us, and directed us to a different entrance. We walked to the different place, only to be told, no, the first... More

..it is more appropriate for tourist clothes. The service and food is impeccable. And then, of course, there is the view.

Nice 4 course menu with good wine. Turkey breast for starter was ok, then a ok soup, very good deer for main course, and last a fantastic dessert.

We visited this restaurant twice during my stay at Budapest. One time inside, one time terrace. Terrace is worth going. Taste is average ~ under average. Service is not so good including selling CD after dinner. If so, because of the amazing view, its worth going.

District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings.
