This is a stunningly beautiful and spectacular place, well worth visiting. The food is also excellent. Service is friendly but disjointed - not as polished as it ought to be at this price. The pianist is a bonus, adding to the already impressive ambience.

Cool old school vibe. Beautiful ornate ceilings. Plenty of charm. Service was lovely. You Must visit if you’re in town.

I cant give different rate for this place. We with my familly realy disappointed. And for our visit is very objectively rate. Before come of course saw that people write that there is delicious food and of course place design so beautifull. But i NEVER,...how much i was in different restaurants, feel so uncomfortable and stupid, and get so horrible service. When we come in, there was no one hostass. We go to security guard to ask can we go and take a sit where is free table. Then we sit, and waiting when some one will bring to us menu and pay attention . I saw a waiter near menu, who was talking with women in black jacket..maybe manager.. i dont know. And still nothing, finally i go and ask to menu. Then my sister want dessert (she saw in internet that its very tasty and must try), which wasnt at menu. We very polite ask to waiter. Finally he explain that there is two place- one cafe (more left entry and other part of this place are restaurant. And this cake are from cafe. :D and its not possible to get.. after some time he come back that ok, manager allow. :D Sorry but its was everything so stupid. We are a guests, we was there first time.. then maybe explain at begin. Finally we enjoy our coffe and desserts which look funny.. my from restaurant (decorated utc), and sister from cafe on the small cardboard :D , but we all agreed that we want more quickly go away from this atmosphere. really sad. I wish to host of this place ..pay more attention to service.More

Visited in March 2022. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The building is breathtakingly gorgeous, and the food was beautiful, would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Budapest. The menu is quite expensive, but considering the awe inspiring beauty of the location, is well worth...spending the extra money. 5*More

We waited about five minutes before someone finally came to seat us even though staff seemed to be standing around doing nothing. The menu was reasonably priced compared to other places like it and the cakes we ordered were really nice, the waitress that took...our order was very friendly and offered recommendation on what to order which didn’t disappoint. If you’re looking for somewhere to get incredible cakes and coffee you’ll find better just a short tram ride away at Gerbeaud.More

We had lunch here and it was a stunning experience from start till finish. We were welcomed by a friendly lady and escorted to our table. Since we had our dog with us, she asked if it was ok to be seated next to the...busy corridor, which we loved. Staff here is an absolute asset. Everybody is so friendly and professional at the same time. We chose the menu offer with gravlax for starters, crispy sole and pheasant breast for mains and crêpes Suzette as dessert. This was all delicious. We combined this with a bottle of Sauska Rosé brut which is superb. The restaurant is very classy and extremely stylish, but the same can be said for the members of staff and the food. What a great place!More

Visit it twice during my stay. First time we stumbled upon it and decided to have a cocktail in the very beautiful setting. Very good cocktail, but very slow and unfocused waiters with no flair for service. Second visit (the menu looked good and we...decided to come back). It was a sunday and we arrived 5.50PM. We were seated, and handed the menus. In the next 20 min, waiters passed us constantly without glancing in our direction, or even noticing my polite handwawing. After 25 min i decided to go to the bar. I took 2 Pelligrino and 2 glasses and went back to my table. No reaction from anyone. Maybe its a self service restaurant?? After 30 min a waiter noticed me and said - just a moment. It took him 10 min to get back, and we had now waited 40 min. I gently stated that we now had waited 40 min and his reply were. Do you want to order or do you want to complaint!!! If it was my business an attitude like that would put him on the street instantly. We of course left right away!. This please will managed since its a hotel cafe and there will always be customers that doesn't have time to look what Budapest can offer. Believe me - you can get bib gourmand and one star michelin food for the same price.More
