Great cafe! We loved the friendly staff, the diversity of the menu and the fresh breakfast. They are open to any request and the homemade jam is amazing.

We had a business dinner in this beautiful restaurant; food and service are both at top level; we couldn't expect more than this, this café also offers you a good swing as it has a little stage were various artists are playing an enjoyable and relaxing jazz! Must visit it.

Lado is an inexpensive but good value cafe and restaurant. A varied menu and generous portions served by amiable staff. Although an informal and perhaps stark interior the live jazz more than makes up the atmosphere. Always a good sign this establishment is mainly frequented by the locals and is well recommended.

Lovely rustic food served in an unusually bare restaurant that is completely and rightly focused on the stage at the far end. The stage hosts Jazz bands every night from 2000 onward to accompany diners as they eat their meal. A fantastic idea that when combined with tasty Hungarian fare makes for a great evening. We had walked through the... More

We came across Lado Cafe accidentally and are we glad we did! The food was amazing! We had a Hungarian delight of Goulash Soup, Goose Liver Pate, Hungarian Stew and Chicken Paprikash. The food was incredible, so tasty and meat so tender. The service we received complimented the exquisite food with attentive waiters who treated us like royalty. If that... More

We prepare the classic meals of the Hungarian cuisine from the early breakfast till the late

We recomned the popular goulash soup, the little bit spicy vegetable ragout "Lecso" and the city's
popular "Budapest style beefsteak with goose liver".

Besides the meals, there are live jazz concerts
every evening from 20:00 till 22:00.

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
