Mozata's Lebanese cuisine garners high marks for authenticity and flavor, with guests often complimenting the variety and presentation of the dishes and drinks. While the service is typically noted for being attentive, there have been some reports of slower moments. The value is recognized for combining delicious, generous portions with the occasional hiccup in service not detracting significantly. The atmosphere, praised for its bright and comfortable decor, adds to the allure, making for an enhanced dining experience.

My wife and I randomly dropped into Mozata when looking for a place to eat with our three children. The staff were super welcoming and recommended various dishes that we should try as this was our first time trying lebanese food. The tenderloin with pomegranate sauce was a huge hit, kids loved it and my wife and I loved it. Hummus was great and the fresh baked bread to top it off was the best! I highly recommend this restaurant!

This restaurant is our favorite. The food is awesome, always super delicious. Please try the strawberry-rhubarb lemonade! That is also just fantastic. Can not emphasize enough the kindness and the willingness of the staff. They are all very kind and attentive. You can feel that they love working there. In Hungary it is not super common to get appetizers on your table before your meal arrives, here they bring you snacks. The interior is another thing... There is no centimetre at this restaurant which was not carried out beautifully. Anyone who designed this place had the most perfect taste. And the Arabic music just makes it even better. Perfect place, keep up the good work.

I visited the restaurant a few times last year and really loved it (same for friends and family who came with me). Very friendly and courteous waiters, great food and a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, during our last visit I was highly disappointed. Although there were many waiters around, they seemed to be very unmotivated and unexperienced and during our stay we were not asked once whether we need more drinks or additional food. Besides that, some of the (warm) food was almost cold, the temperature in the restaurant itself was too cold, in the meantime you have to pay for extra bread and we recognized that guests are treated differently (eg. free small starters during our last stays and also for the neighbouring table this time, but not for us). All in all, it was definitely not the experience I was used to from last year, but maybe we were just unlucky this time..

Hi there, thank you for sharing your feedback. It is with great sadness we are reading this review and writing this to you. We are sorry your experience didn’t match your previous experiences at Mozata. We always aim to deliver a great experience, and we are gutted when we don’t meet our guest’s expectations. We would like to highlight that bread is never charged and is always complimentary from us, that is the true Lebanese experience. If you could share with us your bill to info@mozata.com, that would be appreciated so that we can review this incident. Unfortunately, there are occasions where we run out of the small starters, we apologize for that. . We can’t fix the past but you have my personal commitment to improve the guest experience. Until then, please accept my sincerest apologies on behalf of everyone on the team. Please feel free to reach out to Oussama Mansour, our Director, at oussama@mozata.com with any further comments, concerns, or suggestions you wish to share. Your feedback helps us do better. We would love to make things right if you give us another chance.

Our first time at Mozata but it certainly won’t be the last. We ordered a cold and a hot starter, spicy paprika hummus and falafels, followed by a mixed grill with lamb, chicken and beef. The food got better and better. We asked about the white wines and were given a tasting of the two Lebanese wines on the menu before making our choice. Zoltán was very helpful with background info about the different types. We then ended the meal with an equally fine red Lebanese cuvée. In terms of value for money and the quality you get in the middle of Budapest, with this level of service, it’s a gem.

We had a great time at this restaurant, the service was excellent, right from the beginning we were greeted with smiles, and helpful, knowledgeable staff. Our waiter, (missed his name but from Syria), was particularly attentive and friendly. We felt very well looked after which is not always common in other restaurants in Budapest. This gives this place a great atmosphere and also the food is delicious, and portions are a very good size. We tried a bit of everything and enjoyed it all, a particular favourite being the hummus and fresh baked bread, and the turkish delights that came with the teas. Will definitely be returning here!

The food from this place was an absolute treat! They serve you a little starter while waiting. We tried the spicy paprika hummus, cheese and za'atar mana'eesh, beef shawarma wrap and kunefe. Everything was excellent but my favourite was the cheese mana'eesh! Place is clean, service friendly and super quick! Prices are reasonable and portions big. P.s: If you would like a beer, they have only Heineken at HUF990/bottle.

NOT AUTHENTIC AVERAGE FOOD when someone walks into an Arabic restaurant we want to hear authentic music rather than Madonna and lady Gaga, atmosphere-wise the place was very not authentic ...I remember ordering rose water lemonade and it tasted nothing like rose water rather more like grapefruit ... and then I ordered Arayes which tasted gouty (I personally don’t like goat meat or cheese ) so for me it wasn’t a good option (so it would be smart to perhaps state what kind of meat is in the dish) .. lentil soup was very good though Staff was nice, this place has a lot of potential, if there is some Authentic music in the background and being more precise in the menu. All in all (3/5).. I will give it another try maybe in the future to try other dishes ..

Food is full of flavor and service team is very attentive. We always end up ordering the Chicken Shawerma, Mutabbal & Lahme b Ajin (Tip: Always ask for pomegranate molasses with it, it adds a kick). & if I am not mistaken, our waiter was Fadi, he made sure to accommodate all of our needs & requests during the visit. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for a trip back home through your dishes!

We have visited this restaurant on a family meeting (5 person and one dog). We have been sitting outside. The waiters were very helpful and prompt, such a fast service it was amazing. Immediately they offered some water for the dog and everyone was just very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, and the portions are big. At the end of the meal we did receive a nice treat that was very delicious. I will definitely visit this restaurant every time I am in Budapest. I am highly recommending this restaurant!

We have visited the restaurant on January 31, 2022, we have ordered as I remember Tabouleh, a mixed Grill, red lentil Tabouleh, Raheb, Motabal Batenjan. The food was really great and tasty but we had awful service by one of the waitresses. I advise everyone to not go there if they are looking for quality service as far as I heard there are other Mediterranean restaurants in Budapest having professional service.

We had a fantastic lunch here, everything was perfect. The atmosphere, the service and the location were already a good start. Fortunately the same high level of professionalism was experienced at the quality of the food. Especially the red lentil soup and the aubergine mezze were my favorite, and of course the fresh bread that was baked in front of our eyes in a beautiful oven.

Food arrived cold after very long wait. We informed the waitress as soon as she returned to check how the meal was, only to be told “sorry this happens sometimes when you come at a busy time”. The restaurant had an abundance of empty tables on this Monday night. After stating we felt that we shouldn’t pay the 5% service charge as a result, the same apology above was repeated and no discount whatsoever was offered after voicing this to 2 waiters. I find it to be particularly bad customer service to insinuate that I have left a false review. Prices are far more expensive here than other restaurants in the area - spend your money elsewhere.

My first time trying Lebanese food, I will definitely trying it again. My starters and sharing platter were delicious. Staff all very attentive, spoke good English and the food was very reasonably priced especially in such a busy area of Budapest! Would definitely return again!

I’m so glad we went to this restaurant, the menu was so varied and they even included notes on what was gluten free, vegetarian etc. The basil hummus was incredible (highly recommend), prawns were full of flavour and the lamb was great as well. A good selection of cocktails at reasonable prices and we also had the lemonade which was so refreshing. It’s not on the main road so could easily be missed but so worth a visit, we went back twice because it was that good. Highly recommend, one of our faves.

District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
