Elelem Etterem is about 200m southeast of the Parliament Building on Garibaldi Ut. It is a small restaurant offering a fair selection of vegan dishes prepared with fresh ingredients. The staff was friendly, and some English was spoken. I was greeted, and quickly served herbal tea and a slice of marvelous cheese-cake-like dessert with a nut crust and fruit topping. I thought prices were reasonable, quality was high, and service efficient. The dining area was tidy and the restroom was clean.

At the first look at the menu you can see that it is made carefully and that every ingredient they use makes perfectly sense considering the type of the restaurant. We were eating a burger, gyros and fries and they were made perfectly for a reasonable price. The waiter was nice and helpful. Would definetely recommend!

We found quite a few vegan cafes in Budapest and tried lots of deserts. The coffee, choc cake and the traditional Hungarian style biscuit were the best of our trip. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. We wish we were staying longer so we could go back!

We enjoyed our smoothies and dinner. Food was delicious and served quickly. We particularly enjoyed the gf bun on my husband's burger and the air fries with my gyro were very tasty!!

I had the Quattro Formaggi pizza and my partner had the Smoker Burger, I have to say that very rarely does gluten free pizza taste anywhere near that excellent. This would be somewhere you should stop in Budapest, whether you have dietary needs or not it's well worth a trip!
