Very good traditional food. We enjoyed the traditional Hungarian goulash and the Hungarian stew with rösti potato. Nice food, traditional place, good service with low waiting time, relatively cheap for great food quality We recommend it

I didn’t even get to eating there because upon calling them to reserve a table the waitress started swearing at me as she didn't hear me. I think it is customer service at its worst, I will never dine there. (Nem ettem ott mert amikor...felhivtam oket hogy foglaljak egy asztalt, a pincer elkezdett karomkodni. Rossz volt a vonal, de nem az en hibambol.)More

After walking all morning in Pest, we traveled by Metro to Buda, exiting at the market at the Battthyany Ter station, and hungry. Just to the left of the market, 1/2 block on the side street, we found this little gem. Recommended: the fried pike-perch...(fantastic fish & chips), and the chicken breast with mushroom sauce. With 3 draft beers and the tip, our lunch came to $27 USD Service was friendly and top notch.More

A respectable place for lunch, but overpriced, this offers Hungarian meals for two that are generous, if expensive, and rather bland soups with bread. Waiters speak English. Near the Castle district.

worning ! I was there with my family.. in the first minute until the end I felt like I'm not welcome to be client. the waiters was unfriendly special the female one.. she was just with bad face and she didn't want to serve as....if you looking for a bad attitude go there but if you like a nice place with good vibe this is not the right one.More

We enjoyed delicious typically Hungarian dishes and the staff was also very friendly. Recommend. Restaurant has a small garden in front where most people sit - isn’t the fanciest but that’s what gives it its charm.

Charming traditional vendéglö with outdoor tables near Bathyany tér, with views over its baroque church and the Parliament on the other side of the river. But it’s away from the traffic and because of its position is shady on a sunny day. Good range of...Hungarian favourites. My paprika chicken, tomato salad, draught beer and coffee were all excellent and came to HUF 5,010 (about A$25).More

For my husband and my last dinner in Budapest we went to Vigadó Étterem És Söröző. I was a very filling meal. I got and thoroughly enjoyed the garlic cream soup, and the chicken paprikash. My husband got something like a chicken burrito which he...also liked a lot too. Service was good and prices were reasonable. It was a nice way to finish our last full day in Hungary.More

We found this little local gem after a gruelling 12 mile sightseeing in Budapest. We stumbled upon it on the way down from the castle. The staff quickly accommodated us and our 18 month old granddaughter. The beer and food was fantastic and the staff...were brilliant. Thank you 🙏More

Went at lunchtime in Feb '20. Excellent food - we both had goulash soup which was delicious and terrific value. Authentic restaurant with good service. Beer was terrific and the wine was good value. Definitely worth a return visit. Enjoyed it a lot and surrounded...by local folks not just tourists.More

Found this place by doing wehast I always do in a new place....walk around until I find where the locals eat. Found this place off the beasten path and saw that it was busy with locals so we popped in. Glad we did. Had bowls...of Hungarian Goulash with fresh warm bread and cold beer. The meal was great and the service was good, although I had to go ask for the bill 5 minutes after they cleaned our table.More
