Very good eatery offering some Hungarian specialities and international his. Quirky decor and very friendly, chatty owner round up the mix.

Amazing hungarian food & lovely service Try the kijevi or the fried chicken but the bone marrow is also super yummy!

My husband and I went to Tabáni Gösser Etterem for lunch and had a great meal. It was a lot of food and it tasted amazing. Plus the plating was very nicely done. The service was excellent as well. We tried a Hungarian beer, and...then I had a chicken dish and my husband tried the gypsy steak. The salads were fresh and the meal was very filling. Prices were reasonable. We'd definitely return.More

Our first night in Budapest and we were able to walk to a small family style restaurant, not a 'Euro Menu' in sight! Plenty of menu choices including local dishes such as venison goulash and catfish. Our dishes were well promptly served but clearly cooked...to order and delicious. We tried the local draft beers and a glass of house wine which were good. Bill was very reasonable including a 10% service charge that we were more than happy to pay.More

We can only recommend, the food and the service was very good. We had goulash soup, pork meat done like Cordon Blue and goulash with spaezle. And house wine. Really good.

I tried a standard veal paprika stew. Excellent quality, decent portion, good price. Service is also good. The waitress/barmaid seemed to be fluent in English, german and of course Hungarian. Great meal overall.

There were three of us who ate here. It was recommended by our hotel. Well worth the effort to find. One of the best meals we had on our 10 day trip. Since this was our last night in Budapest we all went with Hungarian...food. It was excellent with wonderfull service. Would highly recommend.More
