We were shown around the venue by the owner, Tom. The concept is mind blowing. It uses all the elements to get your bloods flowing and the setup is perfect to make it a night to remember. I can easily see this concept being adapted...to have themed events (would love to see a Narnia version of this experience) and it is the pinnacle of dining experiences.More

My husband and I had an absolutely fabulous experience at Uncensored! Each dish and wine pairing was better than the next. The enjoyment of the evening was made that much better by Anna, A'bel, Daniel, and Andra`s who not only offered impeccable service, but knowledgeable...and engaging conversation as well. They also gave us terrific "insider" local recommendations to help make the most of our Hungarian vacation.More

After visiting the main restaurant (Caviar and Bull) a few nights earlier, the lovely wait staff helped book me a table for the Uncensored experience; and it really is an experience! From entering through two secret doors (in a beautiful wine cellar), fantastic immersive animation...and sound, well thought through dishes and knowledgeable staff, this is unlike any tasting menu I’ve had before. The theatricality was lovely and did not feel like a gimmick - clearly a lot of time has gone in to this. The food lived up to this standard: beautifully cooked and beautifully presented. For me, the restaurant’s selling point is the staff; Anna, Abel, Timi and Dani were superb, greeted me by name and explained the dishes wonderfully. Would definitely recommend. Köszönöm szépen!More

Wow wow wow….. Where to start, food amazing, pairing of drinks adds to the dramatic meal. The staff were all so attentive and knowledgeable. Big thanks to Anna who offered an alternative( absolutely was expecting this)to a dish in which my partner was unsure about...eating, however, we declined and was taken aback about how good the original dish was . Really fabulous experience, could not recommend enough if visiting Budapest.More

I wanted to book a really amazing restaurant for my mum’s birthday while we were visiting Budapest, but had left it quite late so lots of the best places were fully booked. I found Uncensored on TripAdvisor and thought the concept sounded intriguing; luckily they...had a table free and it was super easy to book online. I’m so glad I did! I knew a little about what to expect, but didn’t mention anything to my mum or sister so they were so surprised when we entered through the secret door! The concept is just so different and thoroughly entertained us! I won’t spoil it by explaining anything, I would also recommend not looking at photos from other reviews if you want to be more surprised. The food was excellent, the only dish we were slightly disappointed with was the Chinese one as there were no Chinese flavours coming through. Everything else was exquisite though, and we really appreciated the chocolate brownie with a candle and birthday message for my mum. Special thanks to our waitress, who was very attentive and explained everything very well. I would recommend to the restaurant to change the music that plays when you arrive and while you wait for other diners though, as it’s the same as the Hungarian section so you end up hearing it for ages and it gets a bit annoying (even our waitress agreed she was fed up of it!) I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you like good food and are looking for something a bit differentMore

Having been fortunate to both eat and work in Michelin starred restaurants, this is beyond that. Not only is it a culinary delight from start to finish, but the visuals take you beyond anything i have ever experienced before. From the secret entrance to this...hidden gem, through the various courses and countries, along with the professional service if you are in Budapest DO NOT miss this place.More

The concept sounded so intriguing and interesting when reading about this, so we had great expectations prior to visiting Uncensored in Budapest. Unfortunately the experience ended as a bit of a disaster. The staff consisted of two very young(very sweet and nice) women. We both...had a feeling that they didn’t know enough about the wines to guide us properly through. They had to run out and ask all the time. They also seemed a bit robotic and unable to improvise when presenting the food, and they kept leaving the table without making sure everything was okay with us. The concept of the screens and the sound didn’t work well, because the music was too repetitive and became annoying. The animated graphics looked like an old video game from the nineteen nineties and was not contributing in making our curiosity or appetite any stronger. But the most important thing in visiting a restaurant should of course be the gastronomical experience. This was mediocre at best. We’d much rather visit a Hungarian, a Spanish, a Japanese, a Chinese or an American restaurant than going to this place. I had better street food in Beijing than this. Unfortunately, because this was not a cheap experience. In fact it was overly expensive for something as poorly done as this. The vibe in the dining room resembles one of an annual seminar for teenage gamers and the furniture wasn’t adding to making us feel comfortable or cosy. This was a complete and utter waste of time and money. The young girls serving us are not to be blamed though. They were nice and hard working. They just weren’t trained enough for conducting an evening that one would expect when spending 450$ on dinner. The people behind this restaurant are clearly more interested in the conceptual and financial side of things than giving a soulful experience for curious foodies. Better luck in the futureMore

This was just about the best experience we had on our trip to Budapest. We booked kinda late, and got a friendly call, asking if we had any special needs, or allergies. The experience at the place is well written in the many top ratings,...so I will just say: ditto. The staff was great, with great explanation of the food and the wines we had. We felt welcome, and appriciated as guests, and left the place with a feeling of being spoiled, in the best sense. If you have the opertunity, go visit this place, and enjoy the beautiful setting, the mystery of the place, the great staff and the exceptional food and wine. We had the paired wine for the food btw 😃More

We found uncensored on Google maps, the concept sounded amazing and my gosh am I so glad we booked. First off we want to give credit to the waitresses that served us. Timi, Lile & Zsófi were great, service with a smile, incredible knowledge on...the local area and the delivery of food was absolutely perfect. Those girls were a massive contribution to a great experience overall. The experience itself was out of this world. I won't give away too much and will just encourage people to trust in the concept but I guarantee you will not leave feeling disappointed. Worth every single penny that was spent and the food was unbelievable. Expect to be out for roughly 3/4hours and I would recommend not getting the pairings go free range on the drinks because the cocktails are delicious. Tip: The resteraunt is hidden at the back of the Caviar & Bull so if you're following via Google maps this is where you want to go.More

We enjoyed the entrance presentation very much. However, the same music that played forever and the time spent waiting for other guests made us feel tired even before we started eating. The Hungarian video was beautiful, but the video never stopped and flowed around the...room, so those who are prone to seasickness need to be careful a bit. And the video of other countries seemed to be very ordinary. The most disappointing thing was the food. The appetizer of apparagus was tasty, but the goulash was disappointing, the tuna was too thick and felt very very heavy, and the tempura was too sticky and oily to eat... I couldn't even taste the wasabi. and the Chinese pork dishes was..... . sorry but, The ribs at the end are not Spare ribs. I could not feel any freshness or novelty in the dishes. The cocktails were also disappointing. The service was very average. It was just not for us.More
