We were recommended this place to eat and the first night it was good. The service was good and the food pretty good. Not too impressed that they added 12 percent service charge on the bill but fair enough the service was good. We still left a fairly good tip as well. The next night wasn't as good. Same waitress... We just arrived to Hungary and tried this place that was really close to our hotel. The curb appeal made us notice this place. We had the chicken paprikash which was very good and large portion. The schnitzel was very big also and very good I wish i had some more now because I can't sleep. LoL We were there... More

Although this was probably the most luxurious restaurant we visited, it was definitely not the best. Our waiter did not seem to like his job at all, hence the service was not very good either. When we got our drinks, I was very dissatisfied that there was a lot of ice and that the gin was already mixed with tonic,... More

We went to the restaurant mentioned above. The service was slow, staff looked like they couldnt be bothered, the fizz was flat and the food was rotten. The waitress wanted to take our cutlery away before we had been fed!!!! Plus the tables outside are under trees so you get leaves, flowers etc all over the top of you.

No aircon inside, very long waiting, wine was already hot, when we got our salad, not to say about the main course. Average food and high prises.

Having eaten here 3 years before on our last trip to Budapest and totally enjoyed it, we thought to come again with our friends for one of our last nights in Budapest on this tour. We were not disappointed. The food was up to the same high standard. The service was great and we all sat outside on a warm Budapest... More

Strongly recommend the goose leg with mashed potatoes and cabbage. Amazing! The fresh lemonade is also a favourite.

We only had drinks here during a thunderstorm , we actually were lost and the staff were so kind with directions, maps and a tourist book while we enjoyed cocktails and beers and sheltered from the storm. Wide selection of beverages available. The food we did see being sent out looked great but cant comment on its taste. 12.5% service... More

We were looking for a restaurant for lunch close to our hotel, having just arrived in Budapest, and picked Vendiak based on TA reviews. The decor inside was very smart and stylish. It was mid-afternoon so the restaurant was quiet. Service was fine, and the food was good, but not spectacular. It was a little overpriced I think, given how... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
