Off the beaten track a little but that's where gems are found..

Macska is an eclectic and delightful bar with a small but delightful menu.. It is a venue in which you will immediately feel at home.. I went with a friend at 9 p.m. and already it was buzzing... Arrived here based on the trip advisor reviews. Had an issue as they had momentarily lost the English meu, however, the barmaid talked us through the menu with good descriptions and gave us advice on what to eat. We ended up having Borscht (a beetroot soup), which was absolutely glorious, vegetarian lasagne and Quesadillas, followed by the chocolate brownie. We... More

This place was a brilliant way to end my holiday. Like some of the others I had struggled with my dietary requirements as a vegan on this holiday. The upstairs had a great vibe, you order at the bar, menu is limited, but what they serve they got right. I had bean soup (750ft) and pita platter which was salad,... More

The interior of this restaurant has an eye-catching collection of cat statues. Located near Racoczi Ter, it uses local and seasonal ingredients. The menu is changed daily and it was amusing to see it written in chalk on the beams of the loft. The organic Hungarian wine was a pleasant and different experience. Very reasonably priced and enjoyable meal served... More

Beautiful decoration, such yummy food, loved the layout upstairs with the option to sit on the floor, there was way too much food so we got it to go away afterwards. The food was delicious!!!

My partner is vegetarian, I am not. She struggled for two of the three days we were there to find any decent restaurants doing any vegetarian food apart from salads, which no one wants in the winter! We stumbled across this place online, and not being far from our hotel we wandered down. First impressions as we walked in were... More

Found this place following a trawl of TripAdvisor and was not disappointed. Quite quirky but staff and customers really friendly and welcoming. Good veggie food at bargain prices although the menu was quite limited. Give it a go.

This is not a restaurant in the classic sense, rather a food bar. Pillar-like statues of cats are everywhere; some pictures of other animals hang on the wall. Tables and seats have probably come from flea-markets and form a mixture of different models. The menu –five or six vegetarian items when we were there- is written on a beam above... More
