fast service, varied food every day, courteous service, fulfill special wishes, I eat here on a daily basis
My husband and I were walking by and decided to pop in and do a wine tasting. The wines were delicious, and along with sampling 6 wines they provided a lovely plate of Hungarian meat. Kristina was very friendly and gave lots of great information...about the different wine regions and gave us a nice overview of Hungarian wine. Thank you!More
Great vines, great stuff ( especially Laszlo). Highly recommend in Budapest. So if you have a free hour you might visit this place.
Did an amazing wine tasting here with our lovely host László, who could not have been more welcoming and informative about the different wines, even though English was not his first language. He was a true gentleman! Would defo recommend a wine tasting here, great...value for money in a lovely setting!More
Its really unforgettable dining inside the wine cellar. Two story below the ground lever. Very amazing. So do the food. Really delicious. The service also excellent.
Thank you very much! Happy new year!

Thank you.
Came to have dinner with some friends and I was not disappointed ong! Divine food with live music and dancers, 10/10 would go again
Thank you Martin!
Came here with a big group of friends, celebrating birthdays. Amazing service and food. We choose the menu previously so we didnt have to worry about it at the place. We were enjoying the wine and the interesting music with hungarian dance. Thank you everything.👍🙏
Thank you very much
Disgusting restaurant. Visited the institution for an organized group. The waiter, who was obviously not experienced, poured goulash on two people. All the clothes in the goulash! The restaurant Manager didn't make much of an effort to apologize. All mood was spoiled at once that...all dishes were not necessary. If you do not want to be disappointed in Hungary, do not go to this restaurant with such terrible service!More
Dear Sir! I am the owner of the Domus Vinorum Winehouse. I am reading missingly your rating. Please calm down. I asked for a report from our manager about this incident: let me share the information I got and please tell me it's true or...More
I guess most of the people or tourists dining here are either those whom puts extra interest in Hungarian folklore dance show and those whom travel with a group tour. Well..unfortunately to say, i was with the latter, and yet i can't fathom any of...the dancing performance that night nor the negligent gig with the violinist and cellist. Nonetheless, the food was even a shocking bummer! What we had is the infamous Hungarian Fried Chicken yet it was inexplicably resilient for us to chew! The only solace from this restaurant is the wine & its wine cellar...More
The most enjoyable dinner of Hungarian cuisine and wines together with the group at the end of our tour. Red n white wines were served entertained with music and songs. Walking into this restaurant just like walking into the cave. This is a wine cellar...in downtown of Budapest. You can purchase any type of wines of your choice too. Cheap, members of the group said. I loved the atmosphere, filled with joy and laughter. Good service.More
Looked like an unassuming wine storefront from the street but once we went inside and were ushered downstairs we felt like we were transported into another world and time! I am not a wine drinker but had a wonderful experience and actually enjoyed one of...their white wines during the tasting tour we had. The owner was very personable and knowledgeable about the wines and made the afternoon visit a very pleasant one. The expanse of the downstairs was surprising and the rooms were fantastic and that alone was worth the trip. This was a surprisingly wonderful stop during our tour and one I was glad to be part of. If you are a wine lover you will enjoy this place. Additionally they truly are a big part of the Hungarian wine movement with appeared to be 100's of selections available.More
We spent there an unforgettable dinner with my co-workers. We had a private programm: palinka+wine tasting+common folk dancing programm with dinner. During the dinner they provided gypsy musician. 1. Palinka tasting - 2 types; it was simple 2. Wine tasting - 3 types: really good...3. Folk program - active and had a lot of fun 4. Dinner - Mangalica liver was the best in my life; Soup was also tasty; Main dish had good outfit but it was for me simple after the other dishes; Dessert was also very good. The wines really harmonized with the dishes. The sommelier made a very good job. The wines were really unique. My favorite was the Mátra, Kiss Atila - Tramini. I strongly propose to connect a dinner with the wine tasting. Everything was well organized and impressed my foreign colleagues. Do a booking before you go than you can eat really tasty dishes with funique wines !More
This restaurant used to be a wine cellar, as can be seen in the woody decor & settings. The entrance lobby is like a library with shelves of wines instead of books. Quite a novelty to dine underground, walking through a cellar passageway before ending...up in the "cellar dining place". Lots of wine sits on all walls ( many bottles were dusty though). Food wise is mixed. The appetizer was so so. Soup was terribly salty, undrinkable. Told the waiter & he said will inform kitchen but no replacement given. But main course of chicken was good. A male Violinist & one male/female dancers entertained us with songs & dances. Be prepared the dancers will pull lots of people in to dance & act with them. We were in a group & I think this entertaintment is optional, with extra cost. Overall a nice experience though. Would have given 'Excellent Rating' if the food were as good as the entertainment & ambience.More
