Hungarian cuisine from the "good old days" gets a modern update at 21. The dishes maintain all the rich flavors of their original preparations, but here they are lighter, celebrating fresh ingredients from the farmer's market. This is an old-fashioned, quality Hungarian restaurant re-imagined through a modern lens.

Try the Hortobagyi pancake as an appetizer! Followed by their Wienerschnitzel , you’ll be in heaven....excellent service and great value! Highly recommended!!!

Great location, wonderful terrace and an excellent wine list. I’ve tried only salads and desserts which were very delicious; I can only assume that the hungarian dishes are the same quality. My only remark is the rather limited menu (which isn’t neccessarly bad) but as...More

My boyfriend and I ate here during touring around Buda, and it was the best meal of our whole holiday. We couldn’t believe the quality of the food for how cheap it is. I had the chicken supreme and my boyfriend had the pig knuckle...More

This was the ideal spot to stop for lunch after walking around the Buda Tower and Palace area in the rain. The service was really good, our waiter was very friendly and made good recommendations. The food was very tasty (mushroom ravioli and duck breast)...More

We drove here by the blue bus. Walking from Mathias church. I had hortobagy palacinka and my daughter Wiener schnitzel, and it was excellent. Also the stuff was nice and polite, they let us eat outside (normally you can only drink outside...), so we had...More

This place is fantastic! Walked past it after a long walk one lunchtime and it was busy, already a good sign! I had lamb cutlets and my wife had duck leg, both absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend this place!

My husband and I dined here on the spur of the moment. The chicken supreme was delicious and we also had the giant chocolate cake to share. The decor inside is carefully thought out and provides diners with a restaurant with a modern yet cosy...More

Felt rushed. Food was expensive for what you were served and not particularly specially tasty. Wine expensive. Agitated waiter made the experience unfortunate. Would not go again.
