We enjoyed a delicious supper again with local wine. The duck ravioli was superb. The ambiance is more modern and the staff excellent in helping us choose our wine

The interior was pretty fancy and the waiter we had was very friendly and nice, but the food was very pricy for what we wanted (just a good lunch). I'm not sure what was going on, but we had a lot of trouble choosing a restaurant as we walked around Castle Hill. This one had people in it, so we... More

food was good, however service was really bad. the waiter had problems with describing the menu and become inpatient, started talking something to himself in Hungarian which was not nice at all. Also, stuff seemed to make fun of other people who were at the restaurant

We'we been with some international guests. The place was fancy, the service was warm, but the food was much below expectations (vs. Price or vs. The look of the place). The fish soup was a bit sour and the fish and chips was fat and the chips was like they opened a bag of Chio Chips. Our guest had the... More

We had lunch in this place the day we spent visiting Buda. Everything is nice in this restaurant: the service, the decoration and, of course, the food. Each one of my friends tried a different dish and, in general, they were very tasty and nice presented. We tried venison, lamb, chicken paprika... We also had a handcraft beer which I... More

We chose this restaurant for a quick lunch. It is modern and upmarket. The waiters are smartly dressed, take your coat, make you feel very comfortable and are attentive. We chose goulash soup and the crepe filled with minced chicken plus a beetroot salad. It doesn't come cheaply though but if you want a special treat in a pleasant and... More

This is a modern restaurant clean and sleek. The services was very friendly, great menu choice lots of interesting and unusual tempting dishes. Venison was superb with a lovely sauce. Would go again, would defiantly recommend, not as much choice on beers as some places but better than most

My husband, Mark, and I were exploring Buda in the late afternoon and dropped into this restaurant as one to consider for a later dinner. Barney greeted us and made us feel very welcome. We told him that we probably will return, which we did. After sitting down, we wanted to start with wine, but weren't sure which one to... More

When we changed hotels from Pest to Buda I was concerned that the options would be very limited. Thankfully this place proved to be a great asset for good food that is inexpensive. Dinner for two with bottle of wine for 85€. Service was excellent as well as the ambience!

The spot is reccomended by the michelin guide. The service was excellent and the place is well decorated with an enyoable ambience. I started with a hungarian fish soup, although i would have prefered the fish not to have bones, it was very tasty. As a main i ordered also fish, with a cream sauce, to end, a chocolate dessert... Staying in District I / Buda

Neighborhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
