Great cuisine. First time in my life I’ve tried a duck burger. By the way, all my family also. The goose liver on grill was great. The variety of wines also offered a wide and pleasant choice. And we liked the service: hospitable and respectful....To my mind it’s a hidden gem of BudapestMore

In December 2022 six of us dined at Borbíróság in Budapest. This was a return visit for 2 of us who had eaten there 10 years ago and had such wonderful memories we had to return. Our sever, Norbert, was very welcoming and well versed...in the extensive wine collection. He made good suggestions and offered several tastings as we selected our wines for dinner. He also worked with the kitchen to ensure I had a good dinner option for my sodium restricted diet. The risotto was a hit with 2 of our diners, the duck breast, chicken and goulash were also excellent. We tried multiple desserts and loved them all with a lovely 2016 Tokaji Aszú Gróf Degenfeld dessert wine. We highly recommend Borbíróság and will dine here again on our next visit to Budapest.More

Delicious food and wine! Had three courses and enjoyed every bit - staff were friendly and helpful, able to give us recommendations for wine pairings etc and we loved the suggested options. Would definitely come again if we visit Budapest in future!

We went to this restaurant for dinner and both my wife and I was very pleased. Great service, good quality food with great wine. I had the goose liver to start followed by the pork belly, which was delicious. My wife had the artichoke soup,...which was very well presented and tasty, followed by the duck. We finished sharing a chocolate cake! The wine was amazing! A good fine dining experience at a good price point. I would recommend to friends.More

The positives first: friendly staff and good wines. On the other hand: we went there hungry but came back hungry, too. Ridiculously small portions (especially for the high prices) from a very limited menu. Low price/value performance, you feel being ripped off. In addition, we...had to sit in our coats as it was freezingly cold. They are apparently trying to save heating costs. Which is understandable these days but they pushed it to the extremes. Upon our ask the waiter turned on an AC but it made practically no difference. Not a pleasant experience, after all. Not going back again.More

It was our first day in Budapest and we had just completed a bike tour. I had done my checks on this establishment and had decided that it was the best place to start my dive into Hungarian cuisine as it is both traditional and...contemporary without being contrived. Service was decent and the food was very good. My first experience of goulash and I definitely wanted more. Highlight for us though was the duck burger; ham, cheese, and even lamb burger step aside, duck burger is the real deal. Loved it so much we ordered it twice. Wine list here is also very good and so are the cocktails.More

Wonderful food. Hungarian with a twist. Quality and presentation excellent. And very good wine. We had foie grass as appetizer, and then duck breast steak and pork knuckle. Both delicious and well presented. Service was also great and we got also a little starter and...ending taste on the house. And the terrace is great for dinner. I was surprised it was not packed - it deserves more audience .More

Been in hungry for nearly a week. Best meal of the trip. Had the duck hamburger and my wife had the veal stew. We each had a Hugo to drink. Absolutely fantastic.

My friend and I both enjoyed the meal very much, the roasted duck liver was great, the main course pork wellington was delicious, the drinks were excellent, but the best of all was the service, we were delighted. The restaurant is right behind the central...market, don't miss it out, it was a much better choice than one of the Michelin restaurants we went to in Budapest. 超值,菜品,饮品都超赞,服务也很好,胜过米其林餐厅,推荐。More

It was an excellent meal, fresh ingredients, creative fusion Hungarian cuisine. Loved the cabbage strudel and the duck breast was tender and a real flavor paradise. Save a bit space for dessert, it's a MUST!

As the first night of our trip we were especially keen to check out a traditional Hungarian restaurant and we were not disappointed. We shared chicken supreme with a rich creamy sauce and confit of goose (a St Martin’s day special) with dauphinois. The food...was good, the layout was cool, would definitely recommend for an authentic dining experience.More
