Delicious food and nice local wines. Try the cherry soup and the duck steak. Definitely worth going!

Very nice little bistro with great food and atmosphere to boot. We had the goulash soup, Hungarian pork and duck burger which all tasted great. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

I came back after 2 years and found the place rather unchanged. A small simple two-level restaurant with brick walls. Waiters have to run up and down the steps, which may hamper the quality of the service on first floor. Quality of food is very...good thanks to the neighboring market. Reasonable prices. Wines a bit overpriced. All together which is clearly above the average restaurant experience in Budapest.More

This was a return visit and it did not disappoint. The staff are attentive and informative, the food excellent and the wine list genuinely representative of what is best in Hungary, with many wines available by the glass.

Fantastic place. Stopped in for a drink because it's a lot more open and welcoming than some of the bars nearby. Ended up staying for lunch. As is well reviewed, the wine selection is really great, but also one of the best G&Ts ive had...in the city. The food is carefully crafted, everything is absolutely spot on. You can't go wrong with any of the meats here, cooked perfectly. The goulash is a winner. Finally, the staff are really friendly and helpful.More

Delicious food (beef with aubergine cream, aubergines with spicy [not spicy] tomato sauce, and crème brûlée). Service was good with great English, and there was a nice atmosphere - both wine bar and restaurant vibe.

We had lunch here & it was a nice experience. Food was good & wholesome. Staff was nice. Restaurant had a warm & cosy feel about it. Enjoyed the Goose liver, Chicken Supreme, Risotto & Red Cabbage Cream soup.

Having visited Budapest several times, I have visited most of the recommended places. I found this place without any recommendations but it looked ok. It was far better than ok. The standard menu was a mix of local favourites alongside more unusual blends of ingredients...and the seasonal menu gave a great choice of fresh, local produce. Everything was cooked and served beautifully and the staff were charming. It felt like a 'special occasion' place, but was warm and comfortable and not starchy. And a three course meal cost us €40 pp. A really lovely evening.More

Location is nice. Food was not. Gulash soup and foie gras we did not like them. Good wine selection. Service not really trained.

Went there for dinner twice but we were only staying round the corner at the Hostel (same building). It seemed fairly quiet at lunchtimes and I would not imagine any difficulty with children. There is outside seating also... More
