Cannot explain how exceptional this experience was. Michelin quality dining, in a relaxed and informal setting. The creativity and quality of the food is incredible, and the attention to detail is phenomenal. Incredible selection of organic wines - most of which we’d never have thought...to order. The passion of the hosts is really special. A meal that was totally different to anything we’ve had before. Could not recommend highly enough and this will be the first place we reserve the next time we’re in Budapest.More

We went to Budapest for a long weekend and looking for a place to eat (we wanted somewhere special) and we found this place! Luckily someone cancelled and they had a table available that evening! The food was amazing! One of the best one we...had in a while. The chef is a lovely lady and her husband is in the front serving, he is also very friendly, he is fluent in English, so he was able to explain the dishes and the whole concept in both languages which was really helpful. The restaurant is in a flat (only 5 tables). The whole experience started at 7pm and we left around 12 30. As the kitchen is right there, you can see how the chef prepares the meal and plates it. It is just amazing to see. We selected the premium wine pairing (just wow). The whole experience is a treat and they really make it feel special. We will definitely go again when we go back to Budapest! Thank you for the great experienceMore

The tasting menu is imaginative and very good and the wines are unusual and innovative. But what really sets this place above the competition is the genuine interaction of the hosts. The frontman is Igor, a young and passionate restaurant manager who loves to explain...in detail each element on the plate or in the glass. The open kitchen allows the diners to watch wife Zaida quietly preparing each plate with Michelin style precision. At the end of the dinner, we also had the opportunity to socialize with a couple of other freindly guests and with Igor and Zaida themselves who joined us for our last drink. Add to that the ambience of the dining area, a beatifully converted apartment room with high ceilings and modern design and you really cannot ask for a more pleasant evening. A place for discerning clients who shun mediocrity and cheap stuff and who appreciate what real quality is all about.More

We had an amazing dinner and it's really a very nice and original experience. You can have the food quality of a Michelin star restaurant (the 2 owners actually worked in several before opening Zincenco) but in a relaxed atmosphere, with only 5 tables. You...can even get up and go look in the open kitchen how Zaida prepare all the dishes! I totally recommend it!More

Igor and Zaida put on amazing night. The stories and the atmosphere really bring the meaning behind the idea alive. Being able to sit that close and see Zaida cook and prepare such amazing food was amazing. Pairing with the wine was a real treat...we would not normally do this but it really set the night apart. It is a long evening 7-12/1 but with good company and amazing food it really fly's. Igor was a really kind host, he even gave us some local tips of where to go of the beaten path. A very well presented and friendly homely evening dinner with a 5* chef!More

What an experience! From the relaxed setting in an apartment, to our amazing hosts and fantastic food, this is an experience like no other. Seeing this was the no. 1 restaurant in Budapest we had to go and we were not disappointed. We got to...experience the best of 2019 menu and unlike with other tasting menus every course was outstanding. It was amazing to watch the food being prepared and also learn how some of the techniques were done. We will definitely be trying out some bits at home! We would also recommend the wine pairings, Igor has put so much thought into them and they really compliment the food. Definitely recommend it but remember to get there at 7PM and we were the first to leave at 00.15!More

An utter wonderful food experience by two, very noticeable, passionate food and drink connoisseurs! This was a place I've read very good things about and was very intrigued to give my girlfriend this as a birthday dinner. We was overwhelmed by the experience, with tasting...9 different courses (small and big) which all were giving our taste buds something to cheer for and bring home as something to try ourselves. Because one of the many best things, was the possibility to be a part of the dinner with the chefs and to discuss and ask questions about how it was made, what their thought of the composition was and anything you were wondering. This all together made it the best food experience I've ever had and would recommend it to anyone visiting Budapest!More

Whenever we take a city break we try to have a meal at a top end restaurant and have eaten in Michelin starred restaurants in several European cities. Booking our trip to Budapest we searched TripAdvisor which came up with Zincenco Kitchen as the No...1 place to eat. We were slightly unsure as it is based in an apartment off the main streets, but I have to say this is probably the best dining experience I have ever had! We arrived slightly before the requested 7 p.m. arrival time and rang the door bell. Igor, our host, greeted us at the door with a welcoming smile and took our coats. He showed us through to the apartment which had a tiny kitchen and serving area, where Zaida was quietly and calmly working away, at one end and half a dozen tables for 2 spread through the room. Another English couple had already arrived and Igor poured us all a glass of prosecco and we got to chat whilst the other guests arrived. Once everyone was here, Igor gave us a brief history about how the idea had come about and what to expect through the evening. We sat next to the couple we had met and more or less formed a table of 4, but as, Igor advised, we were free, and encouraged, to get up and watch Zaida working in the kitchen and plating up. The food was superlative throughout the evening and between courses we were given explanations as to how the food had been prepared (e.g.how to cure an egg yolk). There are two wine selections one Hungarian and one international The couple next to us chose the Hungarian whilst we chose the international selection. We therefore did a bit of cross tasting and I have to say you could see the similarities in Igor's choices. If you are unsure I would choose the International, which included a superb 2012 Chateau Musar. We finally finished with a digestif and left at a quarter past 12, carrying some superb memories and some new friendships! A final point if one is needed - this was Michelin quality food and service done by two people in a tiny kitchen in a small apartment. Other places would have had a whole team of chefs, waiters, and sommeliers. If you get a chance to visit Budapest and are looking for the ultimate dining experience, then this place is a must!!More
