Definely in of my fave Cafe around the city. One of the oldest. Right in front of the Opera. The people are really kind and the sweets are sounds for my tongue. The price is fine

A charming, traditional interior and an attractive terrace on Andrássy Avenue make this a great place for anything from a quick drink to a full meal. Reasonably priced for such a prime location and such an historic place.
We were walking and I saw this place look quite a dark and hidden from outside, but I was attracted because of old fashion look. Decide to enter and god it was good decision. Service was great. Place is old style kind of salon caffe...from early 20th century, and still has good antique vibe. Really nice atmosphere, great coffee and goos choise of cakes (pretty large portions). The coffee house was cozy enough with very nice hot chocolate. The staff on the other hand was very unhelpful and rude. Their behaviour to tourists was unexpeptable and they don't even do the effort to speak in English.
Beautiful little coffeehouse in Budpest. People love to sit and drink coffee, talk, and eat cake in this town. Coffee places all over. This one was particularly cute. The coffee drinks were delicious. I didn't have cake, but a friend did, and she said it...was to die for.More
Was it good? Yes. Would I go again? Big Yes. Do I recommend? Yes. . Cozy and nicely appointed on a quiet, safe street. Food and service were quite good except that my otherwise-delicious pea ravioli was more al dente than I prefer or would...serve to my own guests. My wife’s chicken Hortobágy pancake was delicious! . The waiter cajoled me into trying the signature sponge cake dessert, and it was the perfect combination of mildly-sweet, mildly-rich, and superbly delicious. . Clean, friendly, very good food and service. Dr. Scott says: Check it out with good expectations!More

We visited this beautiful cafe for afternoon tea/coffee and delicious cakes. There is no menu for the cakes, you choose what you want from the rotating chiller display cases. The decor is ornate late 19th century and the service very efficient. Just the thing for...an afternoon treat. Lots of people also came in to buy cakes for dessert at home or a celebration.More

This is a really nice café as you would have imagined it in the 19th century. We had a poppy seed cake and a double chocolate cream cake. Only a little example of the huge choice of very traditional cakes with and without whipped cream,...chocolate and what not. Really a fantastic place to stop for a coffee and something sweetMore

In the heart of the tourist area, I'm always suspicious of a tourist trap. This cafe was occupied by many Hungarians, as well as tourists. The food was authentic and we all ordered dessert. The goal was to warm up from the cold, but the...food was good as was the dessert. Don't be afraid to visit - and despite other reviews, we received excellent, friendly service.More
