Outstanding service, a fantastic creative menu with classical influences and a brilliant selection of premium spirits (especially the cognac)

An amazing small restaurant that was just a short walk from our hotel. This place has all the charm of Budapest and being on a quiet corner, yet so close to some of the best sites, it was just right for our Friday night dinner. We had already read the reviews on here, so we weren't sure if we would... More

Ten of us enjoyed an evening meal. We had booked so the table was waiting. The menu was very limited but it was all very enjoyable. The staff were all very friendly and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Very nice and cozy restaurant. Service was friendly and relaxed but still very professional. Everything was was served with nice info like region of wine and so on... We ate four course tasting menu with wines. Every plate was full of good flavours and nice composition. And wine pairing was spot on. Many thanks to kitchen staff. Definitely will come... More

We reserved a table for two one hour in advance. Fortunately we got a table. We recommend to book a table earlier, because this is a popular place. And we've experienced why! Top service and really good courses whatever you choose. We went here twice during our long-weekend stay and gladly recommend Borsso Bistro to everyone visiting Budapest. It's worth... More

Had a lovely dinner at this place. Strongly adviced to book a table, cause heavy traffic throughout the evening. We had to wait really long for food, but waiter came out and apologized, then it's easy to accept. Got a little treat while waiting. Food was well worth waiting for . Pork shop and pasta for the 7 of us,... More

Stumbled across this restaurant on the way back to our hotel. Decided to give it a try. Great choice! Food was delicious! We had 3 courses and all were outstanding. Service was top class with waiters all wonderfully friendly and happy to give us impromptu Hungarian lessons! Wonderful Guitar duet playing whilst we dined too. If you get a chance.... More

We read the recommendations on Trip Advisor and by our hotel and we were not disappointed at all. We had the tasting menu which was worth every penny - and not expensive. The food was innovative and tasty. The wine pairings interesting and I would definitely recommend a visit here. Good service too!

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
