We ate outside in a beautiful setting on a warm evening. We both had the fish special and it was very good. The service was also excellent but found it a bit pricy relative to other options in Budapest.

We were staying in the Three Corners Hotel Art prior to travelling south of Budapest for a wedding. More about the hotel in another review but sufficeth to say it is slap bang next to the Borsso Bistro. The night before we had been out and sampled a delicious meal but one that had been a bit pricey, so my... More

We took a chance and managed to get a table without a reservation. It was treat. The service was brilliant -friendly and attentive -and the food and wine excellent. Highly recommended.

One can tell the quality of food when the bread served before the ordered food is so delicious and fragrant! I truly enjoyed the bread for the varieties and taste! The main dishes didn't disappoint at all, I had the best mushroom pasta! It smelled so good that I ate everything before I remembered I had not taken a picture... More

Everything from starter (White Cottage Cheese wrapped in Salmon) to mains (paprikash and ox cheek) was flawless with a nice and friendly service. Highly recommended.

Was excellent. The service, the food, the atmosphere. Had the salmon appetizer, the stew, the unfiltered beer (zwikle or something), and cheese cake.

Yes its a nice spot and the guitar playing a nice touch but it just felt a bit disorganised. We ordered the wine pairing menu, its about £35 per head, the starter arrived before the wine, the wine pairing was very mean, tiny measures, although the wine was good, but 100ml with each course meant you were really eking it... We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel and were not disappointed. We arrived quite late but the waiter was very attentive and the food was stunning. Well cooked and presented. We were not sure about which wine to have ,but they gave us some great recommendations and were happy to let us try. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
