« Une excellente table » would say à French man! Typical bistro atmosphere, with authentique Hungarian cuisine with strong French influence, short permanent menu completed by a daily à la carte menu, prepared with fresh and high qualitative ingrédients, good variety of interesting wines, extreme kind and...dedicated hospitality/service.More

EN: By far the best restaurant experience for a long time even being frequent diners. Quality and amount of food, personal service, ambiance (with live guitar music) and price were in great harmony. Could also personnaly thanks to the chef who makes high-end cusine. Highly...recommended! HU: Messze a legjobb éttermi élményünk hosszú jdő óta, pedig rendszeres étterembe járók vagyunk! A fogások minősége és mennyisége, a nem tolakodó mégis udvariasan közvetlen felszolgálás, a hely hangulata (élő gitárzenével)kiváló harmóniában voltak az árakkal. Még a főszakácsnak is megköszönhettük a felsőkategóriás étkeket. Nagyon ajánljuk!More

Excellent Restaurant. The service gets a 5 star review! Our waiters name was Zoltan and he was simply amazing, a real professional who would explain the dishes and the best wine to accompany the food. Be no mistaken by the reviews! We went to another...which was number 4 restaurant in Budapest only to find out it was a tourist trap, how they got there is a good question. Then again, I don't understand why this Borsso Bistro , with amazing service and even more amazing food, which has won several gastronomy awards isn't rating any higher, should be on top 10 in Europe. The food was just delicious. The menu is very limited but by doing this they can ensure each plate is actually cooked properly. They go over quality before quantity! For starters we had mussels, then for main course I had Duck with red cabbage and my husband had beef bourginon. For dessert had lemon pie and chocolate mousse. The pictures I posted don't do it any justice to the food. You must go there if you want to eat excellent food and avoid tourist traps. This is a real restaurant with professionals all along who are inviting, friendly and knowledgeable about food and wine. I'll be returning and recommending Borsso Bistro to my family and friends.More

We unfortunately arrived in Budapest quite late, and went with our hotel's recommendation. We were jet lagged, grumpy and starving, and I was honestly going to settle for room service. WOWWWWW, I'm so glad I didn't settle for something so quick and easy. The service...was amazing, so welcoming and friendly. Everything they recommended was 11/10.. from memory I had one of their specials (the rabbit), and it was plated beautifully and beyond delicious. Even their wine recommendation was perfect. I hope I have the opportunity to visit again, once we're free to roam the world again. Highly recommended.More

I've been in this cozy bistro many times in the last few years, and it's became to my favourite place in Budapest. I can tell you they work on a very high standard, the worldwide famous dishes like the foie gras paté, bourguignon, charlotte are áll...unique and I think I had always a good relation with the friendly waiting staff, especially when they gave me samples of several different wines to find the best match! Highly recomended for every one! Hi guys! Good luck in 2020, hope to see you soon!More

We had the most beautiful meal here last night. Everything from the wine to the service and 3 course meals were perfect. The wine, water, bread, butter and duck liver mouse appetizer came straight after ordering which was fabulous. We had the steak salad and...pate for starter and both were so tasty and far from the normal salad or pate. We then had homemade pasta with muchrooms and beef and seabream with muchrooms risotto, they were so pretty, and absolutely delishious. For pudding we chose Charlotte and caramel foam and chocolate moose, both rich and smooth and a perfect end to the meal. I can't say a bad word about this restaurant. You must go.More

This is an excellent Hungarian restaurant in the middle of the city of Budapest. The food is prepared exquisitely and presented like if we where in a Michelin start restaurant. The service is corrected and the overall atmosphere very nice. Highly recommend.

Stylish little French bistro. Friendly service. Clean restaurant. Very attentive to detail. The beef bourginon was outstanding, so was the Hungarian style been with crispy onions. Great combination. The desserts were also excellent accompanied with dessert wine. Everything was superb and considering the quality of...the food, it was fair priced. London prices, but very nice indeed. Absolutely worth it.More

I agree with the others who answered this question-- yes, it is expensive, but for the quality of the food, it is worth what you pay, but isn't this really always the case. Go there and enjoy the fine dining--the price is... More
