Booked a few days before leaving uk and so glad we did. Food very good and service excellent. Wine by the glass same as bottle price. We asked for advise regarding the Hungarian wines and I was not disappointed. Would definitely recommend but reservations essential.

After great reviews at TA, we decided to visit Cafe Bouchon. As it was impossible to book the table in advance due to the late arrival in Budapest, we just walked in around 6pm so we got table and 1.5hours to enjoy in our meal...More

Traditional but upscale Hungarian family run restaurant. Absolutely jam packed the night we were there. We had reservations, and we saw others being turned away for that evening and the next. Lots of menu choices, special of the day, a tasting menu plus a la...More

Great menu with daily offerings, also. Very innovative dishes served in an intimate setting. We had duck breast with sour cherry sauce and wild boar stew. Finale of Crepes Suzette made tableside. Extensive wine list, also. Do make reservations. It is very popular!

My husband and I selected the tasting menu which contained a selection of the daily specials with a wine selected for each course. Toast with tomato puree served while we waited - yummy! I think we would have been better with the a la carte...More

Nice family restaurant. Great warm experience. Service was nice but not assuming. I guess it was the owner who attended to us. Was really enthusiastic when i asked for recommendations. Finally decided on the Duck liver as main. Was perfectly cooked. Equally good for the...More

I am not sure but the owner speaks perfect English (and French) so I would send them a quick email.
