There is an after work offer in the menu so you can choose from 3 options for a reduced price. The location is a cozy inner courtyard and a relaxing environment.
Delicious foods also for vegetarians and vegans and tasty serving.

Here we had the best food in Budapest, by far the friendliest service and you sit very nicely in a quiet courtyard. Not only tourists are recognisably guests here, and the menu offers much beyond the goulash-schnitzel-paprika clichés. Definitely again.

Cozy and stylish restaurant in the courtyard (terrace). Prices are a bit on the high side, but you can enjoy delicious food here. We had the Apacuka burger (approximately €15) and lemonades. Our dog was also more than welcome here.

We made a reservation for 8.30pm and the place was quite busy. Took a table upstairs, the only people up there, it seemed nice enough. Service was friendly, but we waited 50 minutes after ordering to be told the side for the steak was not available and would fries be an acceptable substitute. Not sure why it takes 50 minutes to figure that out, or why they didn’t mention the long wait when we arrived. A further 25 minutes and we finally had our food at nearly 10pm. It was tasty enough but lukewarm at best, and nobody asked how we’d like the steak cooked - it arrived rare.
Prices are in line with mid-range restaurants in Budapest - I’m sure there are much better meals and better service around, not sure why it’s so highly rated. Perhaps spend your money elsewhere or go when quieter…

We were two adults and three kids at 8, 13 and 15 years - and we were not happy with the food we got at Apacuka.
We kind of knew it even before we entered the restaurant - the menu was way too diverse. It had pasta, burgers, Japanese springrolls, gambas pil-pil, Caesar salad, etc. Won't bore you with the details, but the pasta was bland and overcooked, soft, watery bacon and way too much low-quality cheese on the burgers, a LOT of small, crushed pieces of the shells from the vongole mixed into the tomato sauce and so on.
Service was good and friendly though, but it was a classic first dinner of the holiday - we were too hungry to make a proper decision and the result was us entering Apacuka.
Won't come back - and it was way too expensive for what it was.

Had a very delicious dish with beef and sheep's cheese. My wife had a cesar salad which she was also happy with. The menu card is not very large and for me it was not possible to find other dishes than the one I got. We were there twice - the first time the service was top notch and interested - the second time the service was very absent.

We went to lunch at the recommendation of a neighbor we talked to and asked. Cool place, but without air conditioning and with unbearable heat both inside and on the terrace. Slow service, regular and expensive dishes for local standard. They forgot one of the dishes too. We ordered a soda and they brought it to us in a glass without ice, even though I had expressly ordered it. Many of the dishes on the menu were unavailable or had sold out. Sick and bad service online with the country. To say the least, the terrace is cool and the lemonades are delicious. But the rest, little good to remember. In short, I would never return.

Food was imaginative and creative, for example edible flower decoration - duck and strawberries sauce - lemonade with real fruit chunks of lemon, orange and mint.
Service was fast, good advice, acknowledged returning customer, inquired about guest experience.

I am happy for the other people who had a good experience at the Apacuka but sadly we did not. It was our bad luck to get a waiter who just did not want to be there and just couldn't be bothered with anything. If he had personal issues, well, leave it at home. Sorry, but if he is taking a salary from Apacuka, then he is paid to at least, smile to the customers, even if he is telling the customers to f.. off under his breath.
I must admit, the appetizers such as the goat cheese or the meatballs were tasty but that is about it.
My son had the hamburger and he gave it a 4/10, at best. I had pork belly and it was about a 6/10 but if you look at the price and what you get, the score drops to 4/10. My wife had the venison and that was a train wreck. So gamy and barely warm and at HUF 5,900, WTF? No need to give it a score.
In addition, between appetizers to the main course, we waited more than 20 minutes. When I came back from the bathroom I asked the waiter if the food was soon to be served and all he did was to point to the table and did not even say one word. Well, the burger and pork dishes were indeed served but the deer was still in the forest for another 10 minutes. When the same waiter brought the venison, he did not say a word, like, sorry this came out late... just put the food down and left.
On the way out, my son said, "Thank you very much" in Hungarian, to him and all he did was look and mumble something. Huh? Considering a 10% service fee was automatically added to the bill, at least he can pretend and smile.
Of course, it would be wrong to give a low score for that one lame waiter but then again, the food was not so great either and for sure, no value when the price is taken into account. Being in district V, there are just too many other good restaurants around to have to come back to Apacuka to suffer and waste our money.

I'm reading your lines with deep regret. Our collegues are devoted professionals who are trying to provide a fantastic service at all times from the moment of arrival until saying goodbye. We are shocked about the events you have experienced and we will make sure to investigate and take necessary steps about the issue. Hereby I would like to appologize in the name of all my colleagues here at Apacuka for causing you an unpleasant evening.
As our dishes are always prepared at order, 20 minutes waiting time is not unusual at Apacuka . Our prices also mirror the high quality of ingredients we use. Being in the heart of Budapest, offering a beautiful atmosphere we believe our price of 18 Euros for the venison tenderloin as main course is not irrational. We have less pricy items than the venison tenderloin on our menu, many of our main courses cost about 12 euros.
Thank you for your feedback and the really nice pictures about food and enterior, and hope that we can get a chance in the near future to make a better expression to you.

Stumbled across this courtyard after a long day walking round Budapest. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon and after a couple of drinks we decided to order the burger/drink offer. The food was excellent, staff friendly and attentive. Definitely worth seeking out if you’re in the area.

Limited vegetarian choice, underwhelming food. Nice decor and friendly staff. Nice location. Dessert menu wasn’t impressive. Soup was bland, Tagliatelle was underseasoned, Camembert was not hot .

Hidden gem in the Opera region of Budapest. Lovely garden restaurant. With a wam feeling given by the staff and the surroundings. The food was of very generous portions and very delicious. The staff were attentive and friendly. Great value for money. You won’t be disappointed if you decide to visit.

Food was all right and reasonably priced, but not great. The garden has nice atmosphere, but inside the restaurant is not very pleasant. The service was really disappointing, although the price of it is already calculated in the bill. Waiters just did not bother to visit the table and take care about additional orders and were super slow.

It's a nice place to begin with. The food is fantastic, the service is top-notch and very friendly at the same time. I recommend the Fried pork loin - they make it authentic Hungarian style. Yummy! And the Cottage cheese dumplings are to die for!
I can only recommend this place for everyone.
