I have been there multiple times with colleagues and friends. It is a place for winning the homesickness. I often go there or for buying Italian products or for having the "aperitivo". You can sit take a bottle of good wine (they have superb choises...at honest prices) and ask for a "tagliere" with ham, salami and cheese. The people working there are friendly (also in an Italian way). Moreover they have also yummy sandwiches or profitterol or pasta. The price for an aperitivo (tagliere+drink) according to my experiences (of course it depends what you take, how much you drink, etc) is between 3500 ft-4500ft. In any case it worth it. I would highly suggest to go there both with friend or as a couple.More

Gastronomia da Nandin 1859 is about 150m southwest of the Dvorak Setany entrance to Városliget city park. The owner is Italian, and takes pride in his deli with authentic Italian wines and foods. I stopped in for a late morning snack of cappuccino (fresh brewed)...with a sandwich of prosciutto and cheese (sliced at the deli counter and served on a whole-grain roll). Everything was delicious. The deli counter had several types of smoked hams, salamis, cold cuts and cheeses; pastries, pasta and paninis were available, as well. The store is set up as a deli (shelves of goods, deli counter, racks of wine), with limited seating. The staff were friendly and prices were reasonable.More

If you're as big of a fan of Italy as I am you'll probably be happy to see a shop so traditionally Italian. I usually just eat ice-cream there hence I don't know any better in the area.
