Very pleasant restaurant with well presented food. Agreeable staff. Pity about the off-beat experimental music, which is rather popular in these parts.

Came here for lunch after exploring the castle district and it was extremely tasty! Moderately priced, the menu was mainly made up of authentic Hungarian cuisine as well as some other dishes. The decor was lovely and the place was very clean. We had a...delicious lunch, with the chicken paprikash being exceptional! The staff were very friendly, would highly recommend!More

The choice was made ad hoc, at the last minute or just serendipity. Wonderful restaurant on Buda hill with relaxed environment and excellent staff. The starters of tuna tartare and goulash soup very good but eclipsed by the wonderful main dishes. Well worth the money...even if you thought in relative terms there are cheaper nearby, it’s the adage you get what you pay for...More

Met up with an old friend and work colleague who now lives in Hungary. This restaurant was near the Hilton where we were staying. We had an excellent meal with friendly, attentive service. Prices were reasonable for the high quality of the food and wine,...although it’s not the place to choose if you’re on a tight budget. Overall we were all impressed and would recommend.More

Service was surprisingly terrible and standoffish Was hard to get wine any service at all and waitresses just kept on walking by with no regard to us. The place was empty so I am not sure what kept them from serving. Food wise I had...the goulash and chicken paprikash. Both were good but needed salt and pepper which weren’t in table. My wife’s risotto was horribly undercooked and flavorless. Was quite disappointing.More

Stunning food and wine in a stylish setting. We went early evening on a cold February night. Our waiter, David, was very attentive and knowledgeable about the food and wine on offer. Good value for money for a dining experience of real quality. We couldn't...fault it. I wish that they would open a branch in London.More

The restaurant is down the street from Matyas church. We dropped in after walking up, for a snack and a beer. The artichoke soup is amazing - highly recommended. The draught beer is also delicious. All so good that we came back and it was...just as good second time round. Can’t comment on the main meals. Good service. Good music if it’s your era.More

We went to this restaurant for lunch thinking it looked really good, and we were excited by the surroundings as everything on the surface looks great! Good location and the front of house waiter was very attentive, taking our coats etc before we sat down....That's where the good bit ends. I ordered the chicken paprikash with dumplings. Not good. The chicken was a strange colour and squeaky on my teeth when I ate it. The sauce didnt taste of much and it was lukewarm at best. Also, they were not dumplings but what looked like some sick on my plate (not sure if that's a translation issue or whether dumplings in Hungary are different to everywhere else). My girlfriend had the chicken curry, if you can call it that. It was dry as there was no sauce but instead there was some breadcrumbs on the chicken, which was a similar texture to tofu. We both left hungry and if we didnt have a booking for some wine tasting after lunch then we would have probably sent the food back and argued the bill, which was very expensive by the way, one of the most expensive meals we had in budapest and one of the worst. Dont waste your time, go to Jamie's italian over the road. 2 stars because the waiter was good and the bottled coke was refreshing.More

Good address in Buda when you are next to Buda castle… The food is good. Not extraordinary though. I recommend for a quick and easy lunch.
