Food is almost 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟, staff is definately 🌟, it is a pity, would be a good place. I have given the average of these 2 factors.

Stopped by here for lunch with friends. We all found the food to be pretty good and were happy about the vegetarian options. Prices fair. I did find the two employees to be very indifferent to the fact they worked there...

We had a tasty lunch. Each of us had a different pita sandwich and a hot mint tea. Best sandwich the entire trip for very little money. Service was good and friendly.

Hummus Bar is a chain of casual restaurants offering hummus, felafel and other veg/vegan food (plus meat options also) This Hummus Bar is about 100m north of the Central City Market on Vaci ut. I stopped in for a lunch, ordering traditional hummus. It was quickly served, the hummus (rich, nutty with tahini and lots of olive oil) went well with fresh pitas. My waitress was friendly, spoke very good English. Portions were generous, and I thought the food offered very good value for the cost.The dining area was tidy, and the restroom was clean.

Hummus Bar on Vaci Utca was a 5 min walk from our hotel. We had lunch there one day and found the falafel, hummus and salad were excellent, fresh, flavoursome and very good value. So we went there for dinner another day during our 4 night stay in Budapest. We tried their Eggplant cream (babaganoush) with tahini as well. Recommend highly.

Popped in for a quick brunch. Food was amazing so many flavours and well made too. Over all good service and pretty cheap also was about £10 for 2 falafel pittas, chips as a side and 2 large beers. Would definitely recommend

Tasty food, for a reasonable price in Budapest. Personally experienced great service compared to previous reviews. It is self service so not sure what other reviewers expect.

Why oh why do some people who work in restaurants think it's ok to either ignore and/or condescend to their customers? We should have walked out as soon as the waiter rolled his eyes when giving us the menu. He was so rude taking our order that I laughed in his face, I couldn't keep it in.
Food was ok, expensive for what it was but filled a hole. But not worth elevating my review for.
Treat your customers with respect or work in another business.

We were visiting Budapest for a couple of days and were not familiar with the tipping system. The male waiter decided the amount of tip himself since we hesitated for a minute. He basically tipped himself. Some of the items in the menu were not available at all at the time... The male waiter was arrogant and not customer-friendly. He did not warn us about the extremely hot food plates, so one of us burned himself really bad...
Food was good and the female waitress was friendly and nice.

We decided to go due to the positive reccomendation. The smell is horrible, fried chips, fried chicken and fried coats smell after the dinner. The service was horrible. The young guy was more interested in watchong the movies on youtube than in taking care of the clients. Food- not bad but due to the whole athmpsphere the impression is negative.

We asked to pay separately, waitress started to lie for no reason that machine does not work. But it somehow worked when we paid altogether. Avoid this place.

Loved the vibe and food, worth eating here! Hummus is good and vegeterian portion is good for 2 people. I would recommend this place to vegeterians who are tired of eating cold sandwiches and mozzarella bread in their Europe trip:)

The pita bread was quite good, however the flavour wasn’t the same. Falafel pita barely had any hummus and the tiny bit it contains, it doesn’t take like hummus. Grade: 4/10, large room for improvement. NB: it is more like a fast food restaurant.
