This place is next to the Várkért Bazár, so the atmosphere is really historical and lovely, but also super active, the cars& bikes are passing by next to the bistro, the music is loud, but personally I loved this vibe ! There are some sishas...and the service was super kind and helpful with it. I ate vegan salad, which was too less in amount, but too much in taste for me, but I was okay with it, this place is about modern food, unique and suprising flavors. The dressing was pretty nice. ✅ If you'd like to experience modern food, unique coctails, sisha, nice&historical atmosphere, cozy terrace, loud music ❌ If you're hungry and you don't want to spend too much.More

Good restaurant. We had duck and deer for a late dinner. Both portions were really good. Staff was also really friendly.

New restaurant close to the Buda Castle. They offer Hungarian as well as modern dishes. The food was good but nothing special. They lost our reservation but the place was almost empty so we could get a table without any issues.

We had a great business lunch at Bárkert. All the food we ate were of high quality, service was also pretty good and attentive. Great decor, nice atmosphere. If you can afford this price range then this is a trendy place to dine at.

We visited Bárkert Bistro on our first night of a long weekend in Budapest. We were a small party of 4 looking for a quiet spot to eat near the centre of the city. The location is great, and very close to the river on...the Pest side of the city. The restaurant itself is well laid out and very well decorated. The menu consisted mainly of typical Hungarian dishes, but other non-typical dishes were available. I opted for the Caesar Salad to start, which was delicious and a good size for a starter (not too big or too small) For main, I opted for the battered chicken with their famous mashed potatoes - which were really delicious! I would recommend this restaurant for anyone travelling as a couple or a larger group. Staff are attentive and welcoming, so it’s a great spot to sit and enjoy a meal together!More
